Are you related to sgt Schultz??
You know nothing.
You see nothing.
I don't know who did or didn't cheat, other than any program that's winning big did cheat pre NIL. Would you actually say this out loud to yourself.: "there are a lot of schools (your words) that recruited blue chip players and all they gave those players was room, board, and tuition. NOTHING ELSE"
Does that sound logical to you???
It's not just me. THOUSANDS of articles have been written about how filthy college basketball recruiting has been for decades.
But J Dawg says nope, they're wrong, it's not that bad out here. So are the dozen or so assistants I've spoken to over the last 15 years (Huntington prep, Montverde among them), who laughed at me when I innocently asked if at least a few of these top schools aren't buying these players.
What i think is possibly going on in your mind (if you aren't full of shite, which is HIGHLY probable), is that a decent percentage of the lower ranked EYBL guys, the ones that go to Rice, UTSA, or SFA type schools, actually were recruited cleanly. This COULD BE where your opinion is formed that a lot of schools/coaches are clean.
The top 50 players? Not a chance and you damned well know it.

Dude quit writing these essays saying the same things over and over again. I’m on one side of the fence, you are on the other, and that’s ok. You can go on about your life now, or is this message board it?

I got plenty to do outside of this board. My "essays" deal in reality, your BS responses come from a fairy tale land you've created in your mind.
I've got you tree'd, baw, but I'll let ya go now.
You've printed that BS narrative enough to where anyone with a brain on the rant knows you're either UNBELIEVABLY naive and unaware, or ABSOLUTELY full of prune juice.
Man, this conversation would have been INFINITELY better face to face, but as the Japanese say, "I bid you adieu."
Or is that the Indians that say that??

Yeah man, sounds like a productive conversation to sit in front of someone face to face to discuss something where someone gives you lists of coaches as an example and sit there and listen to someone babble about how I’m wrong but can’t provide any evidence. Sounds productive. Plus, all of the times the conversation has shifted from 1 coach to a few coach examples to a bunch of coach examples to “all players” to just 4* and 5* star players. You probably shouldn’t speak in absolutes. Also that was only 1/2 of my issues with Wade, the other half, we haven’t really talked about much. Wonder why that is..anyways, good talk, I can honestly say this conversation has probably been the least productive one I’ve had. On the bright side, I got a new nickname and got called a homie.

I’m in the corner of WW is a huge improvement from CMM BUT he’s not some program savior either.
I do like some of the staff he’s hired though and maybe Round 2 will be somewhat different (in a few aspects) as the last.
As for the “we have no team” panics, it’s gonna be ok.

Has Will Wade signed anyone yet?
Yes

People can choose to believe what they want, but by my count you now have two reputable industry people saying there is a class in place, plus an insider on a paid message board saying the same. I don't see the benefit of waiting, but I think it's safe to say they definitely have at least part of the roster completed.

Wade has his reasons for handling it the way he is. People want instant gratification or a reason to say “haha, I told you so.” NCSU fans on X are gloating. It’s really foolish to believe there are no players who’ve agreed to be at LSU. I’m content letting it play out. I don’t need to know today what I’ll know when all is said and done.

I don’t mind waiting to announce, but I don’t really understand why you would wait, though I’m positive there’s a logical explanation

All is quiet on the western front.

A lot of times with recruiting, perception is reality. To think this is just some elaborate plan is borderline ignorant

As with just about everything in life, there is gray area in between. To casually brush off the fact Wade hasn't signed anyone yet as some sort of master plan the rest of college basketball doesn't seem to be following is foolish. However, to think he won't put together a competitive roster is also foolish given his 12 year record as a coach.
It will be somewhere in between. He will have a solid roster that will compete for a NCAA Tournament spot. But it's not going to be a Michigan type transfer haul that will have LSU as a NC contender.

Anybody that doesn't think CBB players get paid probably voted for Joe Biden .

People will likely be hyped about who Wade brings in. Let the dust settle.

Yep. It shocks me how people (especially men), can be liberal after experiencing life.
And yes, you have to have had your head in the sand to believe these top players only received room, board, and tuition pre NIL.
Somehow these people live among us and manage to navigate their way through life.

are you a fricking idiot? Its literally legal to do this.

They all know Brown and Jones payed players they just pretend not to. These people do not believe the things they say.
Posted on 4/20/26 at 4:02 pm to tigahlovah
Even small schools were giving small impermissible gifts… we see now for sure that a player will go literally anywhere if the pay is right. That’s not new. I remember years ago, football insiders would talk about kids coming on visits that turned the coaches off because all they were worried about was how much money they can get, before NIL. And when I say insiders, I don’t mean the random TD accounts that are 6 months old saying they have the answers. I mean the paid sites who had guys that the writers verified to be legit and knew personally.
