I believe they're doing it to be intentionally obtuse, in order to validate their "ethical concerns" about Wade, which is RIDICULOUS.

His teammate, LEONARD FOURNETTE (along with many others on that team), received STRICTLY room, board, and tuition to play for LSU.

I'm pretty sure he's referring to pre NIL. We have some unbelievably naive posters here that claim cheating wasn't widespread in college basketball recruiting for DECADES.
