Last night I had the pleasure of interviewing Kansas State Transfer Seth Dardar. He is the most recent commitment to LSU's 2026 baseball team. He can play any position in the infield and has a great story to tell.

Interview starts at 3:15 and ends at just after the 44 minute mark.

I’m hoping he’s our 3B next season.

Seems to be a bat first guy. Doubt he plays 3B. More likely 2B if some of the other guys we're chasing there don't work out, possibly some 1B, or most likely DH.

Love when these kids get a chance to play for their dream school, he's earned his way to being an LSU Tiger for sure.

He's not on the active roster for the summer team he was on, is he playing anywhere for the remainder of the summer?

The 3B guy from High Point, Brayden Simpson, was just named to the All America team. He's probably your 3rd baseman.

Depending on what happens with Frey, Larsen and Stanny, I think he will have to play somewhere other than 1B. 1B could be the rotation spot to get defensive game time for Frey, Larsen and JB.

He played in 5 games and flew back home Monday. He is going to start training on campus very soon he said.

He is a draft risk. That said, I think he is going to be the third baseman. As for Dardar, he is open to playing anywhere on the field. 2026 will essentially be the first season that hasn't had any type of injury for him. 2nd base makes sense for him, but first is definitely an option if Frey goes pro.

JB will start in the outfield. Fastest and strongest arm, he now has the AB experience, expect him to be everyday player in 2026 in outfield.

Met a basket ball player today that's trying to figure out if LSU is his spot to land. He's from here and would transfer to LSU for his last year. He wants to be here and been talking to Coach M. Seems like a great guy. He thinks they have a niche carved out for him. He was back in town today. Honestly don't remember his name but he would be a forward. 6-7 tall slender guy. Next time I see him I'll buy his food for him.

agree - he would need to be wrapped in bubble wrap on defense to keep him healthy
