Nuss being 180 right now isn't a concern. By the time he gets to college, he will likely be around 200. I'm guessing he could play around 210 or so.

An accurate passed with fire, and is a winner against top competition. Works for me!
Please come win at LSU, Garrett!

6’2” 205 vs 6’1.5 180, guess which one is closer to “just small”

He’s not ideal height. Hence his rating

Everything on tape shows the kid is a player. He’s going against top competition in the most QB rich state. His dad is a renowned QB and offensive coach.

Accuracy, ability to process, anticipate, diagnose, It factor. You see it all in his highlights. He even moves well for a pocket passer. His size is why he’s not the prototype and why his ratings will be limited.

For the record, I think he’s going to excel this summer at Elite 11.

He's already a top 150 composite. He should camp well this summer and have a great senior year that will put him as a possible top 50 player. I think he's that good.

Even after the significant bump from 247 they are still dragging his composite down. Overall ranks for him from the 3 different recruiting services.

Espn - 57
Rivals - 87
247 - 196

If he commits early and sticks that’s good. Let Williams go somewhere else. Nuss is a coaches son and in my opinion will have a brighter future.

I can assure you right now that Nuss will not have a better CFB future than Williams. NFL, who knows. You guys are still lost in the impact a dual threat has over a just mobile QB in the college game.

I hate that both have to come in the same class but damn, this is the best chance we've had at a legit game changer at QB coming out of high school in a while. Either way if Nuss does commit here AND Williams still decides to come here, I expect Williams to beat him out anyway.

Maybe so, but we're not picking Nuss over Williams. LSU will continue to recruit Williams but nearly everyone that covers recruiting feels Williams is not coming to LSU.

Caleb Williams is not coming here. That ship sailed when Brady left. Too late in the game for him to build a relationship with a new PGC.

Tell us where he might go that had a top offense and ZERO staff changes on the offensive side. I'll wait

Certainly LSU lost Brady and that's not ideal, but that's just the reality in college football.

Clemson, Ohio State, Georgia, Penn State, Texas, among others, lost either their offensive coordinator, co-offensive coordinator or passing game coordinator.

Nuss is going to have that burrow fire. Mark my words

Yeah Nuss looks like a monster in his own right. He made some 40-50 yard throws off balance and on the money. Seems like a big time QB prospect.

I'm guessing as he adds weight/strength this year and continues to impress in camps that his stock will just keep going up.

I would imagine there is no one in college football that knows more about Nussmeier and his potential than Scott Linehan, due to the family relationship.

I don't consider myself a scout of any sort, but from a layman's perspective I think Nussmeier's film looks more impressive.

I love a dual threat quarterback, but sacrificing accuracy and decision-making for scrambling ability is a fool's errand.

Nussmeier looks plenty athletic and has a nice command of the pocket.

And in 2015 you would have prefered Kyler Murray over Joe Burrow.
