It’s way more than 1%. I was on vacation recently with a couple. The guy spoke openly of his racism, all the while saying, “I’m not racist.” I told him, “Yes, you are racist. That’s what racism is.” He thinks because he doesn’t advocate genocide, he’s not a racist. He’s a good dude, btw, it’s just where he came from, I guess.

This. I don't want to hear about racism because since I was at LSU(Herb Tyler) more often than not we have had a black QB. And for the record, Rohan is the best QB LSU has ever had until JB.

I just heard that Caleb Williams and his dad will be spending four days at Oklahoma later this week through the weekend. Also hearing the folks up in Norman are getting very excited.

Yeah people on the Oklahoma side seem to be pretty confident. I used to understand why a QB would pick them over us but that's no longer the case. Riley could bolt for an NFL job at any time.

Williams has always seemed like he was looking to go elsewhere imo. He says one thing but his actions suggest otherwise. If Brady leaving was a huge deal and he was all LSU prior to that, why not see what the offense looks like before writing us off?

Not saying he has in fact written us off bc I don’t know the kid, but insiders suggest he’s leaning elsewhere according to the experts on this board and Brady leaving is the reason they cite.

If that’s the case, then as I said the smart move would be at least see what our offense looks like before deciding you want to go elsewhere.

Hopefully he will not commit to OU despite the fact that they recruit very dirty and pay players. I hope he is not afraid to compete with Nuss, but I guess we will see.

I really don’t blame him if he is though.

Nuss is smooth, accurate, smart, tough, and energetic. The kid just looks like the next big thing. His stock is rising as fast as any player as coaches are finally seeing what many of us have thought of him for a year now. The kid is gonna be a superstar and has all the intangibles you’d dream of in a quarterback.

High character kid and no drama. Love it

Also Nuss’ dad was a QB, so you can imagine how well Garrett has been coached up...

From my eyes, Nuss is a hugely better passer, and Caleb a much better runner. I prefer Nuss if I had to choose one or the other. Rocket Arm.

His dad is an NFL QB coach. I'm sure he's going to acclimate to being a CFB QB a lot easier than most HS QBs. He just needs to continue to develop physically so he can handle the grind of being an SEC QB. Otherwise, he has all the tools to be elite.

Caleb Williams spent four days in November at LSU. Hence, he knows that Steve Ensminger, as opposed to Joe Brady, is the QB coach and OC. He has also said in one of his recent interviews that expecting a particular coach to remain at a school that is recruiting you is probably an unrealistic expectation. He has told the folks at Oklahoma since they started courting him that Oklahoma has always been his dream school and the Oklahoma fans now mention that ad nauseam.

Yea he says that, but the “insiders” on this board suggest that Brady leaving has caused us to lose some ground.

Anyway, back to Nuss since the thread is about him.
He’s very polished, mature, energetic, tough, and accurate. I’ll take those qualities all day long and it sure seems like the scouting services are starting to give him his due.

Yeah, it kind of depends on what you define as insiders.

Do you have information to the contrary? If so, please post it for the readers of the board.

At one point it was said on here that Munoz spent the most time with Williams and not Brady. Munoz has moved on as well and supposedly Ok has heated up as a player.

Interestingly, we hired Tettleton who coached with Riley at OK. If/when we get Williams back on campus we can go full press with O, SE, Linehan and Tettleton.

Do you have info to suggest that LSU leads for Williams despite the insinuations of the the insiders that Brady leaving caused us to fall behind in this recruitment?

LSU could lose Williams with Brady leaving having nothing to do with it. I have no faith the idiot supposed insiders have any knowledge of anything.

All the "I hear Brady leaving made us lose Williams" is just people taking guesses and trying to look knowledgeable.

Right. Did i say it was fact
I believe he was building a special bond with Brady and munoz
Once they both moved on, I think lsu wasn't the hot team to him anymore.
Sorry that's how I feel and I'm not trying to seem knowledgeable.

When people say stuff like that they are usually projecting
