Yea I don’t get the infatuation with everything BUT accuracy.

Don’t care if the dude has a cannon, if he can’t drop it in the ocean, then what good is it?

Let's wait and see how he does his SR season to see how much his accuracy improves. Max Johnson made a big leap. Sometimes there's more to the numbers.

Remember Burrow had a near identical completion percentage to Williams his 1st year at LSU. He made a somewhat decent improvement last year from what I recall.

Totally possible.

As I said, both are outstanding options. I’d be happy with either. I just think the smart move is take a commitment from whichever ones wants to commit first and still try to get the other. You don’t turn away players like these kids in hopes of getting someone else.

Hopefully our coaches have learned their lesson.

I like what I saw. He made some tight throws into good coverage and that's impressive!

Don't know the talent level of Williams' receivers, or any HS QB.

Burrow only had a few weeks practice with our WRs his first season. His second season he may have had the best group of receivers in NCAA history. His accuracy may have made their reputation though.

I prefer Nussmeier. His HS film reminds me of Joes...

Hopefully the admins clean up this thread

Sad that folks have to turn into something other than a discussion about quarterbacks

Yep. It was just getting turned back around too lol
Nuss is going to be a star qb for lsu in a couple years
He has the burrow fire
So glad to get the qb out of the way early

Caleb Williams likes the recruiting game. If he wants lsu he needs to commit and lead the class. If he doesn't want to do that, do y'all really want him?

I posted this in another thread (about a month ago) about him. I’m sure I’ll see more of him this year

“I live down the street from him. Saw a playoff game on TV. You are pretty close on your assessment. Had over 500 yards and 6 touchdowns in that game total.
He plays in the highest classification in TX in a competitive district that they won this year. The year before, they didn’t. AND they had Marcel Brooks (he played wide receiver on offense).
He gets better and better every year. If that continues, he will at least be top 150 or higher next year.

He's already a top 150 composite. He should camp well this summer and have a great senior year that will put him as a possible top 50 player. I think he's that good.

Looks good to me! I can't believe people are still whining about the 5 ??, was Burrow a 5? Can't remember, the BIG picture is that our starter next year is a RS Jr, we have a RS Fr and 2 Fr backing him up, looks like we have at least 1 very solid QB for this class, maybe 2, we are getting quality prospects every class now, no more 2 true Fr competition for the job, we are building quality depth, now it's about developing those guys

Disappointing. Would much rather Caleb Williams

You’re absolutely welcome to switch allegiances once Williams commits to his school of choice.

He wasn’t at the time I wrote that. It was before their update. They’ve updated 2 or three times since then

I like him better than Caleb. While we are at it, let’s get both.

Caleb Williams is not coming here. That ship sailed when Brady left. Too late in the game for him to build a relationship with a new PGC.

6’2” 205 vs 6’1.5 180, guess which one is closer to “just small”
