I'd love Smael Mondon. It's a stretch but we are on his finals list and there is definitely early playing time available...

Where are you seeing this? 247 doesn’t even have us a warm interest and all the CBs are for Gawga. Also who are you telling no to assuming we get Smith, Foreman and Leigh?

Not the first time I've meant Cregg and written Grimes.

Mondon tweeted that he is announcing 11/18 and LSU is Top 5.

I recall seeing an article by Shea Dixon a while back saying that he had definite interest in LSU. But like I said, it was awhile back.

I don't know how it will all pan out but I do know O has referenced before that he's taking the best 25 for the job. Who really knows what that means though...

Cooks is committing soon and it appears it will be Texas but who knows.

Bradford has good feet but just like the other reserves---he's fat!

How’s Dummerville looking? Anyone heard anything on him?

I think it’s clear Marlon Martinez has jumped both Kardell and Bradford on the inside and Charles Turner is the incumbent at C. I don’t hold much hope for Kardell but Bradford can turn it around if he dedicates himself to losing 30-40 lbs. I would rather recruit OL kids on he lighter side and send them through the strength program than go with the bigger kids hoping they can cut weight. It usually doesn’t go well that direction.

what surprises me more is the linebackers.

Have you been watching this year?

I’d say we’re in dire need for some instant impact thumpers in the middle.

White is small. Sampah hasn’t seen the field. Lee moved positions again. We can’t just take Penn

So with the positions Coach O mentioned that means lsu will tell 2-3 commits to look elsewhere

The recruiting guys at 247 and Scike have basically been inferring this. A guy like Gee is likely to get pushed out.

Don’t be surprised to see an edge guy get pushed out for an inside backer, perhaps from JUCO. My guess would be the kid from Atlanta Charter gets cut loose

He was an OT, but the added weight doesn't help the desired lateral speed required to play OT. He's now listed at OG. He could be a real mauler at OG, but Cregg's zone blocking scheme may be more geared toward agile OL.

I just looked up the roster and they are clocking him in at 365... He may be bigger than that!

I think we're in play for Cooks. He has a HUGE upside in running sideline to sideline and getting to the QB. His commitment is scheduled for this weekend.

I don't know much about Lewis' recruitment other than he's been all Tennessee by most "gurus". He's a stud.

Mondon is also a stud. It will be hard to pull him away from UGA, but I've seen stranger things happen.

If we get 1 of these 2, it's a win. If we get 2-3 of these, O will have some tough decisions to make.

I have a really sneaky feeling that the staff is high on somebody locally at LB, albeit a 3 star. Aside from this season, we have been able to develop LBs so that may be the plan. Immediate help would have to come from the weight room.

Is Turner even second string center right now? I thought Evans was.

I'm not giving up on him. I'm not sure where his head's at, but his injury was fairly significant. As far as his head...this year has been difficult for just about everyone. There have been many moments this year where I've been a bit of a head case. Fortunately for me, I'm not being watched by an entire fanbase.

He has the talent to be a dominant lineman. Hopefully he can put it together and take a starting spot next year.

I don't really remember the last time we had a recruiting year where we signed a significant number of elite offensive lineman that panned out. Maybe one or two in a class. Maybe it just seems that way but isn't. I just know that you have to build inside out not outside in. Nothing matters if you can't block and pass protect. Last year's line was obviously good but we obviously lacked depth.

Watching a couple of Dummerville’s nationally televised games last year I thought there is no way this guy is a LT. I think it’s a stretch at RT. He seems to be a guard also. We are just lacking in the OT position. Them guys need to get their fat asses in shape and give some return on that scholarship.

Agree on Kardell. Too soon to give up on him. The kid is only a freshman and had a significant injury. Too many star gazers on here think every highly rated hs kid is going to make immediate impact. Our Oline struggles are not at the guard position. Some good players ahead of a freshman that has been rehabbing. Give him time.

I'm with yall on kardell and turner
I'm not sold Turner is the incumbent and I think both kardell and bradford can and will turn it around
They are trying to motivate them.

Now if we hear the same things next spring then I'll be very worried
