The question you should be asking is two-pronged.
First, LSU has to submit his name to the NCAA as one of the 10 coaches to recruit for us. The NCAA has certain requirements to accept that name; those basically center around proving he is, or will be, and employee of LSU and a coach.
The second question is the one you are asking currently: What does LSU need to submit that name to the NCAA. If a MoU is good enough for LSU, it probably will be for the NCAA. But it has to be solid enough for the school first, by default if that's true the NCAA usually accepts it.

I don’t want to make it seem like I have a source because I’m fairly confident the guy I talk to is full of shite.
With that said he told me that Pelini and O called the recruits last week letting them know that he would be the next DC and then over the weekend he was on a Skype call in O’s office formally introducing himself and talking to the defensive recruits.

He obviously is better informed than most. Problem is you can never tell what a kid is going to do. And you can’t fault him for that. Unfortunately a few do.

Probably how it went down. FWIW, a recruit can talk to whoever he wants, whenever he wants. The only restriction really only involves physical face to face.

No he cannot at this time because he is not at YSU anymore, nor can he for LSU with only a MOU signed. He needs to be cleared by the board and officially the LSU Def Coordinator before contacting recruits.

It’s not jealousy but the Vol fanboys are weird and cringy. I’ve never seen This many men get bent out of shape because people poke fun at someone that they don’t even know.
