re: Cameron Johnson, is there a chance that he falls and comes to BR?

Yea, the only thing to watch now is Larson. Brown and Johnson are both going to play for LSU. Neither the Rangers or Cardinals will be able to get the money unless something really crazy happens.

Larson Note
Ashton Larson - 20th Round to the Minnesota Twins
Outfielder Ashton Larson was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 20th Round with the 597th overall pick. He was the No. 1 overall player in Kansas and No. 13 outfielder nationally, according to Perfect Game.
Larson will be a player the Tigers are sweating things out for, but as it stands, it appears unlikely he signs with the Twins and makes his way to Baton Rouge.
Prospects have only 14 days after they are selected to put pen to paper. If unable to agree on a deal, they will make their way to college.

Larson has just been tight lipped through the whole process. So no way to gauge the number he had or anything like that. Twins have the best shot of signing Larson than any of the recruits drafted outside of Blake Mitchell.

Cameron Johnson Info
Johnson is a 6-foot-5, 243-pound left-handed pitcher with an overpowering fastball and slider combination. He also occasionally throws a changeup from his deceptive delivery.
His four-seam fastball is his best pitch. It is an above-average offering in the mid-90s that touches 97 mph. His fastball features natural movement with arm-side run and sink, generating plenty of swings and misses.
Johnson’s changeup is also a quality pitch that is a weapon against left-handed and right-handed hitters. He has confidence throwing it in any count. The sweeping-breaking pitch displays a lot of movement and serves as an out pitch.
“My body physique and quality fastball,” said Johnson on his strengths. “My fastball has the run with 20-inch horizontal movement. That is very big for me. I also have the wipeout slider. I got a lot of hitters with the slider in the summer. The pitch is an overpowering pitch that I feel hitters can’t get an eye on.”

Crews's path to MLB will have a bigger impact than we may have thought when it comes to players like this that may not be quite ready yet.

Johnson has already indicated he's coming to school and the Cardinals assistant GM has already stated that they don't have a chance to sign him. If you think he's going to take it to the deadline you're either willfully ignorant or just stupid.
Those statements are fine and all but nothing is done until the deadline has passed.

I agree. It will not be decided until July 26, 2023 at 12:00 a.m. Have to sweat this out right up until midnight

You are correct, but thanks for the laugh thinking that Project is new to baseball. Lol.

Yep. I definitely am new to following the draft and college baseball. And I'm especially unfamiliar with the Cardinals.
You're so right.

We just landed Mac Bingham from Arizona.
The PAC-12 All-Conference outfielder shined in 2023, batting .360 with 10 home runs on the season. Bingham also had an on-base plus slugging percentage of 1.006 on the year for the Wildcats with 51 RBI and 91 hits.
