With Tony V soon to he announced as the Giants (MLB) manager, do the Tennessee players get to enter the portal like football guys do? With the season still months away, will they be able to play this season? We took a pitcher from Tennessee so we will have a guy with some already built relationships to help us out.

A win next week vs a top 5 texas a&m team and all of a sudden we got a ton of momentum heading into our bye week. Same team that nearly lost to arkansas today so it can be done.

Oline isn't the issue. Oline coach is the issue. I'm surprised lsu hasn't brought in someone to "assist" with coaching the oline.

Bad oline means you've gotta have a running qb in. Love nuss but with the oline we got, I think MVB would be more effective.
A year in lsu workout program and learning the system is better than another year throwing against lower competition in HS. Just my opinion tho.
1- Haven 2- Nuss 3- Houston. In that order. I know I know, all that matters is money, but with Billy possibly getting fired that has got to help our chances with Haven. Nuss is a must. Houston would be a great add but he'd also be a 2-3 year development project.
I don't understand the hate towards Lil Nuss. He is elite.
I believe the one talking to Will the most was the LB from Louisiana Jamichael Garrett

Hanging out with Will Campbell on the sideline the whole first half. Have a recent 1st round pick in their ear has gotta be nice.
Losing Underwood opened the door for the huge portal class we landed. So does losing keys mean we have extra money and are about to top Ohio St offer to Bradford to land the best safety in the country? It's flip season. Let's get in on it both ways.
Will never make it on campus with those numbers
Heard Philly was on the phone with a source about it earlier today. 60% chance that he is 100% sure he doesn't know for sure yet.
So the kid playing for Southern this season can't come back?
They're also getting a brand new stadium that will debut next season I believe.
Michigan landed their qb in Peter bourque today. #7 overall qb. DJ Lagway's play vs Nuss play could be the deciding factor for Haven or Nuss as we battle UF for these two. We need to win and look good doing it.
Anyone know who he got? 2026 guy?

Look at 2026 and 2027 teams that have got a qb tho. Most of the heavy hitters already have their guy. Let Michigan land Zeigler and we really are in prime position for Haven. Ohio St and Texas a&m already got a guy. So does Texas, Tenn, and UGA. Haven could come down to an LSU vs Bama race.

I feel like we never went all on one guy. Started out with Haven, got too expensive. Went to Nuss and got in a good position but tried to stay in touch with Haven which lead to UF overtaking us for his #1 spot. Now we are Haven or bust because everyone else seems like they have moved on from LSU. Great if we land him but catastrophic if we miss.
According to the lsu media, Taron "Man Child" Francis (#1 wr from LA this class) has been killing it in practice this fall. Even got a deep hall catch in a 1v1 drill vs Delane (our #1 db). We will be ok at WR if we lose out on Matthews. I still want him tho.
He will get paid more by SC and stay at home to play, but will he develop into an NFL talent at SC as well compared to LSU? That's what our top seller is. LSU has been pumping out dline and oline talent for a while now. SC could be too, I just can't recalled them doing it at such a high level as LSU.

Side note....we will be on a Netflix series tomorrow night. Season is around the corner boys and girls.
Not gonna be a top 5 class simply because of numbers. Some teams will have 10+ more recruits than us but only be 10-15 pts higher than us. In my opinion, we will finish top 5 in average.

So what you're saying is, they upped their money but our money was already good enough. Let's GEAUX
I wouldn't say NIL evened anything. The rich can just go get anyone they think deserves a big payday now. Bama doesn't have Oregon money.

Love your post Philly. Always a fan when you bring the good news. I just don't see oregon ever being too "broke" or worried about overspending on a guy if they really want him. NIL is the reason they'll always be a contender. They can buy a team every season. Them OSU Penn State, those teams will "recruit" well from now on.

No offense but there's zero chance anyone makes me believe we out bid oregon. No chance brother. I do believe you when you say the other guy committing helped us. It's also one of those things you scratch your head about tho. He afraid of competition? Still pumped he's choosing us tho. This class might only have 20 guys but 70% of them are blue chip recruits. Elite job by the entire staff.
