Also, so many people on here are stupid. If Underwood wanted to come here at what we initially offered him, I'd welcome him with open arms. He'd be the #1 overall draft pick with Kiffin.

IF he was interested in actually coming to LSU, it would have to be a Dante Moore situation.
Bring in a 1 year guy like Chambliss to be the starter and Bryce sits and develops like Moore did when he waited behind Gabriel at Oregon.

$12 mil for 4 years @ $3 mil/year. LSU offered him $6 mil @ $1.5 mil/year. He burned the bridge, just leave him alone, not as good as advertised.

There is some rumor that his circle isn’t happy with the Michigan staff and his development. He would certainly have to take less NIL to transfer but get better coaching. As I said in another thread he only threw 30 intermediate or long passes the last 6 games of the season. He also threw as many int’s as TD’s in that span.

There it is. I'll take a hungry and humble 3-star over an entitled Primadonna any day of the week. We got our Heisman winners in the Portal and not out of HS.
The young ones that are fawned over can't handle the money and personal status; it clouds their motivation and dedication to team unity.
I trust Kiffin to handle this stuff. He's one of the best and the time and place are right for a serious run.

Portnoy had a ton to do with it. He is the one that started a UM drive to get Underwood. He ponied up the first mil and some others jumped in. Ellisons trophy wife just allowed them to close the deal by funding it out.

Why would you pay that for highschool kid and not a known commodity / upper classman
