We’re not really in a position to take a flyer on a pitcher coming off an injury like that.

Likely wanted too much for a pitcher coming off a significant injury. Imagine making him a top 10 highest paid player on your roster and he doesn’t even play next year

Trosclair had a non-TJ arm surgery that supposedly involved the ulnar nerve. He’s hoping to play in 2027 but still TBD.

His brother tweeted the announcement and said he chose UTk over Florida and Auburn, so maybe LSU kicked the tires and went a different route.
