Generally once doctors have performed a successful surgery they give a timeline on when a person can safely return to prior level of function without risk of reinjuring the tissue.

They don’t concern themselves with subjective pain concerns or actual performance dips due them. In their eyes the problem is fixed and it’s now up to the player, therapists, and trainers to return to elite level of play.

In no way does the players performance always correspond to the simple recovery timeline. SL will eventually be fine and play at a high level, we’re just saying for a one year portal rental in a new regime looking to make a splash there are likely less risky options.
