sucks? Of course not. People are being idiots.
#1 in the state? No f'n way. He is a guy without a position. I don't see him being a big time SEC receiver. He doesn't have the build or toughness to be a RB. He doesn't have enough speed to play CB. Maybe FS? Reed is not a loss.

SFP is the last poster you want to listen to on evaluating talent...he thinks James Wright will be a tight end.

If you consider losing guys in the list of top 150 as not being able to land the big fish then you should look back over that list and see that we have landed guys there. so basically i dont get it. we lose guys in the top 100 we suck.....but we sign guys in the top 100 we still suck? that is basically what i am getting from all this negativity

he's pretty big with a decent frame, and he's slow. he looks like a TE candidate to me

Hunter

Coach who recruited him to LSU was fired.

quote:

Wright

Wright is an LSU commit.

quote:

Seastrunk

We have 3 commits at his position this year and 3 already committed for next year. I'll throw in that two of those are five stars (predicting Hilliard) since you obviously are a stargazer.

quote:

Davis

Davis chose to play for his home school.

quote:

Reed

Reed wanted to get out of state and get a fresh start after losing his mother last year.

quote:

Marsh

Marsh chose to play for his home school.

You want some news to come out that these recruits decommitted because they felt like Les Miles is an idiot and the program is obviously headed into the ground, but you're not going to get it. Call it a positive spin all you want, but if you actually follow recruiting, you would know that decommitments happen at this time of the year every single year as recruits feel the pressure from their family, friends, and coaches to stay at home and play in front of everyone they know. You want to focus on the big names we missed out of state, but how about Ware from Ohio, Maclin from Tennessee, Lee from Texas, Washington from Texas, Gibson from Alabama, etc.?

We have to we have, and I'll welcome the kid here, but I'm not impressed. D1-AA's offered him, thinking they would be competing with the LA-Monroe's and Lafayette's. He may turn out to be a good player though, time will tell.

I would much rather be getting a Fobbs, Boone, or have never lost a Davis, but oh well. It sort of seems like we are settling, or just filling roster spots now. Before long we will be stealing Nicholls State recruits to fill up a class.
