All the negativity. Its getting old. We had a down year. Thats it. We are loaded, and will continue to be loaded. Gonzo is here as an OC don't let anyone tell you different. This is a smooth transition taking place. No matter what i think Gonzo was hired with the idea of him taking over soon. Being brought on as recruiting coordinator and an assistant HC should say a lot. Smart move by LM. This way nobody gets their feathers ruffled next year

Your more full of shite than a Christmas turkey too. Gonzo was given those titles for more money to lure him away from Florida. Crowton is the OC until he is ran off. And smart move and LM don't belong in the same sentence. I guess you think his game and player management is brilliant too.
Yes, we should trade them player for player and coach for coach.

Good point, IDK. But that comes down to coaching and the guy making those decisions is still in charge. I have all the confidence in the world that the defense will be OK and good enough for a BCS game, but not the same confidence in the offense. With what we have coming back offensively and who's coaching them up we have a 7 win offense with a 11 win defense.

We didn't click? :rotflmao: I believe our offensive woes were a little deeper and more complex than that. I would give more credit to a shitty offensive line, no running game, and an erratic QB, which the last two can be attributed to the shitty offensive line play. Being ranked 112th in the nation in offense doesn't equate to not being able to "click." Good try though.

Reality says we are far from OK on offense.

put me on your list! And while your at it, tell me why you think he did improve? I need a good laugh.

Would we be wrong, or is it only the offense?

that's from your point of view as a FAN and not a PLAYER

So you think some of the 2011 studs we have like Collins, Hillard and Landry are coming here because of Les. Highly unlikely. They are coming here because of LSU, not Miles, and any LSU coach would more than likely get those kids to commit here. Miles is known to be an OL coach, yet has produced one of the worst OL's in the SEC, so again, I doubt Collins or any other in-state lineman is lining up to play for Miles. LSU is going to get LA. kids with any coach. Miles the best LSU can do, recruiting wise or wins/losses wise.

Dont comapre the state of Louisiana to Illinois, or Colorado. People here, hs kids included are much more passionate about their state school than those other places. Basically the whole state is a LSU rabid fanbase, with the exception of a few small pockets where there is other colleges.

Its LSU, it aint that hard to recruit to LSU. Regardless of who the coach is, we will always get the majority of in-state talent, this has little to do with Miles. You also better have assistants who can recruit, because thats who's doing all the work, establishing relationships, etc. The head coaches just get the credit.

and the only player that they got from Evangel was 4* Chase Pittman and now Russ...i guess that's a lot huh?

You have no fricking clue. They also got Phillip Geigger, and Stevie Lee. They actually had both Pittman's too. I believe that's all they ever have offered from Evangel, 100% success rate aint too shabby.

Florida, Texas, Bama just to name a few.

Stud- Washington
Sleeper- Armaud Williams

Most of the offers go to Tx kids.

True, but they don't miss out on many of the OOS kids they offer either. Reed from Tibby is the only one they lost out on. They got the best player out of Oklahoma and Ohio.

Regardless of the locale of the kids they offer, they usually get who they want, over 75% of the time anyway. If they want Rasco bad enough, and put on the full court press like they did Hicks, the will get him.

Florida offered over 130 kids to get their 25 committs, so Texas is much more resourceful and successful than Florida is.

just because Texas got a player that we dont want...you think we'll lose a player that we really want

No, not my logic. Evangel has sent as many top notch kids to Texas over the years than to LSU. Texas always does good with Evangel kids, or anyone else they recruit hard for that matter. You don't have to look any farther than this year to see that.

It also comes down to #'s. Texas offered 33, with Russ, and got 25 committments, thats over a 75% success rate. Which is unreal. The next closest team is Penn St which got like 22 out of 75 guys, for a 33% success rate.

Who Texas wants they get most of the time, and if they go after Rasco like they did Hicks, I think Rasco will end up a Longhorn, and Miles can do nothing but sit and watch.

Scout has Armand Williams ranked 205 at WR and Emfinger has him as a top 5 WR. What's the deal

I'm guessing he's somewhere in the middle.
Evangel has been good to Texas over the years. I expect them to get Rasco next year as well.

This is a solid class. Anyone who thinks otherwise knows nothing about football

Completely agree. How much coaching they get, and how much they progress?

Who knows?
2011 should be top 5, IF we get the players within our own state. We won't get them all, I'm sure Auburn, Bama, and Florida will be knocking down the walls trying to get some of the best talent we have had in a long time.

I also think Rasco will be going to Texas.

The other thing we have to worry about is how the 2010 season unfolds. Unless we have a year in which we play up to our potential, Miles will be gone. If he gets the ax, or if he changes up the staff like last year, we could have several more decommit.

We have a long ways to go before any of them sign, and lots could happen before then.

He is? How do you know? I've heard some things supporting this, and lots of things contradicting this from people inside the Tiger fieldhouse.

I've heard from a former player, and GA that he is extremely egotistical, quick to take the glory and credit, but quicker to pass off any criticism and blame.
