Do these guys qualify as "big fish"?

Davenport, Faulk, Downs, Ford, Loston Randle, Shepard, Lee, Ware, Washington, Wright, Allen, Reid..

I could have listed more btw.

Until Les Miles gives me something to get excited about after these past 2 years, It is hard not to feel negative. Especially after all the decommits lately.

to add to this, Miles does not have a track record of finding under the radar guys and making them stars. Go back through his previous classes and you'll see.

What others? Davis and Hunter who chose to decommit from LSU, guess what Williams may not be on the level of Davis, but he is more ready then Hunter to play right now.

Yep you are either a bandwagon fan or do not follow recruiting, What did LSU sign last year, we have big time players like Ware, Washington, Allen and reid committed this year. And next years class is shaping up to be potentially better then last years class.

And what is funny every LSU fan this year was hoping that the class would finish in the top 10 this year and if they did it would be a plus, now that we could do it, they are bitching we should be top 5, well we could have, but Davis, Hunter, and Marsh chose not to come here and did not want to play for LSU, so frick em.

I am sure his mom's basement is better then the cave you live in.

Guys like this two star want to be at LSU and play for the purple and gold. I don't want a two-faced 5 star stud from Miami if he isn't all Tigah inside.
What aboot the 4 and 5 star guys that want to play at LSU? All I'm saying is we are not getting the guy's that we used to get. And you getting pissed at anyone that doesn't agree with you is not going to change that fact.

With his speed and athletic ability Billy Gonzalez should mold him into a star wideout

He looks slow on film. I think he'll be a great possession/redzone target. I don't see the speed on film everyone is talking about though.

I realize that people can change their minds but c'mon, even a positiger like yourself has to wonder why all of a sudden these guys are pulling away from LSU (read Les Miles). I hope that I am wrong and next years class does not count because the state is ridiculously loaded.

Davis going to Texas was no surprise
Lache going to Oregon was also no surprise, we have 3 Rbs signed this year, and 3 signed next year.
Reed sucks, but Auburn out recruited us for him, big deal

Our decommits are all out of state guys. Who left for quality programs much closer to their homes and families. All were recruited by a coach no longer on the staff.

This is not really the end of the world.

If you are going to go after "big fish" as you call them, especially out of state you are gonna lose more than you get.

I really hope this guy pans out. LSU only has 28 schollies to give out every year, so I our coaches eye for talent is good. The recruiting services seem to think otherwise. I just don't want to start taking a back seat to the other SEC teams.

have you ever heard of these guys? This is the only way to get back on top but I guess we will now see how far Les can take us, either up or down.

LSU has eyes for talent examples: Marsh, Davis, Hunter, and Wings so i think Williams will be good

again no one cared about reed until davis went texas, and no one thought we should have recruited marsh. what was he a 3 star? everyone just thought he would move to oline because he is white any way and now people think recruiting at lsu is doomed because some kid from cali decides to go to an amazing school in ucla.
