Any other DT that would be worth watching in the portal now that Smith is gone?

Jamaree Caldwell is the only one worth a damn in the portal and looks like he’s gonna end up at Texas

The thing that concerns me is if we hire Peoples from Mizzou, nobody can follow him. Portal window is closed, and no SEC-SEC transfers in the spring. Either find someone decent now, or hope a solid Grad Transfer pops up later.

Going to have to head over to the OT and put up help wanted posters. Most guys on there are 6'5" 250 lbs just going to add some rice and potato salad to the Gumbo and have them walk on in the spring. Honestly we are so screwed right now at the defensive tackle spot.

Another portal window opens after spring. If the opening/openings still exists there will be options. Good players on crappy teams will be reaching out, and we can always attract a grad transfer looking to go out on a high note
