2013 Baseball Recruit Trey Cobb Decommits

Class of 2013 RHP/IF Trey Cobb announced that he has decommitted from LSU and committed to Oklahoma State last night via his facebook page.

Tough loss, but I think we have enough future depth, and the kid can be replaced in the class.

Could have been a scholarship money issue too it happens a lot.

A lot of scholly money changes following the Draft and who signs. Oklahoma State could have offered him more money while LSU could have been strapped for cash

yes i do. A class being ranked as high as 6 is a "fallout"?
i know we had 2 decommits, but that happens every year. Hell we've already had 1 in this class

We didn't have 1 rivals Top 100 player, not 1. And 6? We were in the teens on any site I follow.
Don't know when that happened the last time (no rivals 100 players). We filled up our needs well, but overall the class was not what we've come accustomed to with Miles at the helm. You can't possibly say that class met or exceeded everyone's expectations (As far as pure recruiting rankings go).
We lost out on our state's top recruit who was a great one to the team that smashed us on the national stage. We lost a big commit on the last day to a team who hardly ever recruits out of their own state...it just was not what anyone was expecting.

These things happen. We've gotten kids that were committed to other places. Chinea was committed to Miami at one time.

I know, wasn't my point. Just talking about specifically getting shat on after an embarrassing thing happening to us.
