What do you use on your gutters to keep leaves out?

Gutter Guards? Leaf Guards? Or regular old construction cloth? I have a small section of gutters that needs something to keep leaves and crap from clogging them up.

I’ve used these Amerimax snap in gutter guards LINK, after reading a Consumer Reports article that recommended them. Inexpensive, easy DYI, come in brown or white, available at HD or Lowe’s. I’ve had mine up 4 or 5 years now? and only a couple have required replacement.
Now I will qualify that I, nor my neighbors, do not have pine trees, so how well they would do with pine needles I can’t say. Many Y/T videos on how to install them.

The problem with all gutter covers is that fine debris eventually gets through, and the presence of the cover makes the eventual cleaning job much more difficult.
I'm a fan of pressure washer gutter cleaner attachments sold on Amazon, along with a suitable pressure washer extension pole if needed.
The shop vac extension mentioned in this thread makes less of a mess but I've found it clogs right away.
If you're looking for gutter covers I'd recommend the basic mesh variety that's been sold for decades.
The newer patented gutter covers come with commissioned salespeople who belong at a used car lot.

This is what I have too. If you have a lot of trees around your house, you’ll still need to hit the gutters w a blower to get the leaves off your roof (especially before a good rain or it’ll sink the guards). But I’ll take that over having to walk the perimeter pulling leaves out and having to clear downspouts

SAME. I have a two story house under a HUGE live oak; this keeps the oak leaves AND the catkins (what some call "brown pollen") out of the gutter.

Catkins can get wet and clump/pile up on top of the screens, so once a year after they are done coming off the tree I get up on a ladder and just hose it all off.

I bought some of theirs but metal instead of pvc. Haven’t installed yet so can’t vouch for effectiveness. Not many trees around the house but one Crepe Myrtle drops enough to stop up the downspouts occasionally

Ditto!
Mine have been up for a year and a half. Did the whole house in brown for under $200. Easy
We get pin oak and red oak leaves in them.

I did LeafFilter this winter after fighting several of the home store type deals. Previously I tried the snap on style, the sponge style, the cap style. None worked well for my situation. So far so good with those little Oak Tree things this spring. We also have a ton of pine trees.
I also bought a RV brush that has a swiveling to head. It’s almost perfect to hold up and walk down the length of the gutters to wipe off that oak tree gradeau that sits on top.

Same here. Nothing worked until LeafFilter. Two big Cypress and a Pine finally met their match. No more ladder for me.
