Tips to Remove an Ugly Car Dealer Medallion?

The last time I removed an ugly, faux metal plastic car dealer medallion was on an older car with imperfect paint.
I recall the medallion came off pretty cleanly using a hair dryer, plastic spatula and solvent like Goo Gone.
Now we've got a newer vehicle with the world's ugliest dealer medallion.
Any tips to cleanly remove those medallions, without dulling the factory paint?
Not our car, but this medallion is about as ugly:

Took the decals off of my truck the day I bought it new. Hair dryer and careful use of a razor blade to start the peel. Very easy. I barely had any residue to clean up.

Did it just like this to take the dealer badge off my truck. Some rubbing alcohol can help too.

Fishing line, heat gun/hair dryer, and some goo gone.
If it’s some really tough glue or adhesive, you can buy a 3M adhesive eraser wheel. It’s like a rubber wheel that goes in your drill. It sounds like it would mar the paint, but it doesn’t it. It’s a more expensive option but it works phenomenally well. My truck had some really tough adhesive that wouldn’t come off.

Dental Floss works well too. Lots of people use it to remove badges off motorcycle tanks when they decide to put a custom paint job on the tins and do away with any badges.

I made the dealer remove them before I bought my truck.
Unless they wanted to pay me for advertising.

Floss and rubbing alcohol. Did it last week on a new truck and took about 2 minutes total.

I just got a new vehicle 2 months ago and used that stuff to remove the dealer decal. Came off with ease with no damage to the paint job.

The shifty sales rep said "I wouldn't trust our prep guys who work weekends to remove it" and there's no way we'll ever go back to that scumbag dealership.

Fishing line works on a new vehicle. Every emblem and decal gets removed.

Yes, I tell the dealer to not put their decal/logo on my vehicle unless they are willing to knock $2-$3K off price for advertising.

If there is any light scratching to the clear coat after you scrape it off, a compound/polish and a microfiber cloth should clear it up.

I put it in the deal paperwork and tell them I will accept a license plate frame. That comes off when I get the regular plates.

Every time I buy a vehicle I make the dealer do it or else no purchase. They have always cooperated.
