The tomatoes, cucumbers, and green beans were pulled today. Sweet potato slips, peanuts, pink eyes, corn, and more peppers will take their place.

What date are you planning on for transplanting tomato suckers?
At this point I have no idea.
I'll just play it by ear. I've never rooted suckers before.

it’s funny at all the contradicting info out there
If there's one thing I've learned in my continuous quest for gardening knowledge is that there are tons of myths, magic potions, and voodoo spells all over the internet when it comes to gardening.

If you want them hotter then stop watering them a few days before harvest. Heard that from a famous pepper dude one time. Could be a tall tale, but I believe him.

I've always found that my jalepenos get hotter as the weather gets hotter and drier in the summer.

About to do the same with my tomato and green bean plants. Tomatoes are fading fast as it heats up and the beans have stalled in production to the point it is no longer necessary to water or pick from them. The last beans I got were so puny they weren't worth picking.
My cucumbers are still going great as are my yard long beans, so they'll stay a while longer.
Okra is really taking off. Three days ago I picked 10 pods, yesterday I picked 26 and have similar numbers today with the plants only being about 2 ft. tall right now. As they grow taller, I'll be picking 45-50 pods a day.
Hot peppers are starting to come in and I've been picking eggplant for a few weeks now with many more coming in.

So you have "Okries".
You have Okries growing on your Okrie plants according to the old coonasses I grew up around.

Yep, and once picked, I bring them up to my kitchen and rinse them in my zink to get any dirt off before stewing them down to use in making gumbos and soups.

All my cucumbers are like tuna cans. Okra doing decent as is my squash. Only found one borer this year. Tomatoes like others have mentioned, played out aside from the golden cherries and the Phoniex. I'm not sure what's eating all my bell peppers and marconis. But it's getting very frustrating. They start turning and then they are attacked.
Planting another row of okra this weekend, purple hulls and some more bells. Going to build some cages out of 1/2" mesh and bury around the peppers.

I've had some issue with my pickling cucumbers being more rounded on the stem end and pointy on the flower end and not very nicely shaped.
My slicing cucumbers are doing pretty good with nicely shaped cucumbers, but some are thinner than others and look more like the English Cucumbers you see in stores.
I picked a slicer today that got lost in the foliage and that thing was huge, but still good, much to my surprise when I cut it.
All the rain we've gotten the past few days again has my garden like a bog. I had to pick okra today and that required me to walk between rows and I was sinking past my ankles in the muck.
Won't need to water for at least 10 or more days if it stops raining today.

Anyone care to share their salsa recipes?

Tomatoes and cucumbers really starting to come in in central Arkansas. As much as I bitch about them, indeterminate tomatoes can really produce a lot of fruit once they get going. I only have two cherry tomato variety plants, and I pick more than enough for the wife and I to eat every day. It’s nice finally getting to the fun part of gardening after watching y’all’s awesome harvests the last few weeks! I have issues posting pictures on here or I’d show a few.

Pillage, how did the Sea Grow work out for you?
It appears to be good stuff. Everything flourished and it was the healthiest my garden has ever been. Got bumper crops on pretty much everything. I barely had to use any treatments for anything. I did spray peroxide a couple times after lots of rain, and neem oil on my okra plants one time for aphids, but that's about it.

Also how often did you apply it during fruiting?
Once a week. However, I'm not feeding tomatoes and cucumbers anymore. They're on the way out with this heat.

You weren't kidding about aphids and nitrogen.
I gave a boost to my okra and peppers a few weeks back and about a week later my okra were covered in them. I had to give the plants a heavy soak of neem oil to wipe them all out.
I'm loving the yard long beans. They are producing in bunches and love the taste of them when sauteed down. I'll keep them a regular in my garden going forward.
My cucumbers are still producing mainly because I staggered the planting. The oldest plants are all but done for and the new ones are just now fruiting. I picked a couple yesterday I had apparently missed and have been feeling self conscious ever since.
I'm ripping up tomatoes now. I've got more cherry tomatoes than I know what to do with and have made enough salsa for my liking.
Okra are doing their thing. The peppers still aren't producing like they normally do but I'm steady picking them so no big deal.
