Does anyone have one and is it worth the price?

They're a guard that goes over your gutters that prevents leaves and other debris from getting into the gutter, but allow water to pass through and into the gutters.

I regret not getting them. Cleaning the gutters sucks.

I just bought the box of gutter covers from Costco ($65 for 30 feet). Easy to install and works like a charm.

That’s leaf guard. Leaf filter is the mesh covering.

I installed some mesh covering on a house some years ago and it didn't work well. Wet leaves would stick to the top and cause some over flow and small debris would build up over time in the gutter. So, you had to remove the mesh and clean out the crap.

I tore them off eventually.

Leaf Guard system might work though.

I used a mesh gutter guard...just had someone install it two months ago. $425, but I only have gutters in front and back (not on sides...it's an A-frame house)...over time, stuff will get through the mesh and I suppose I will need to hose out the gutters. I don't know about the product you linked...what is cost versus mesh?

I have used the ones that were flat mesh and they worked ok. The mesh ones with the deep ridges work better IMO. The ridges keep the leaves from really sticking well and covering the entire gutter. So when the wind blows they get knocked off.

None of these systems are 100% no work, but they significantly cut down the amount of time I have spent cleaning gutters.

Similar to these Gutter RX

Don't know the price, so can't comment. But, I use these from Home Depot. They work great as long as you keep the leaves from piling up (especially before a rain). The worse that will happen is they will cause the guards to sink and you need to clean a small section.

My guess is the leaf filter system works better (looks like it will), but you still have some basic upkeep to keep leaves from piling up. With that said, so much easier to use a blower to knock leaves off of them than it would be to get up and remove leaves/junk from the gutters

I got 6in gutters last year and got one of the more “premium” guards that is a metal sheet with holes (vs mesh).

Benefit of the one I chose is that pollen strands blow right off, pollen is worse than leaves sometimes and builds a mortar in spring when rain is heaviest.

Love it. Does its job. But freezes.

When we get rain that slowly freezes, this guard creates an ice dam on top of gutter and that’s a risk.

I'm happier that 10 years ago I got pissed and ripped my gutters off .

I put in new gutters about 4-5 years ago and opted to let them include the gutter guards. They're the style that has approximately 3/8" holes in the metal covering the gutter.

I am regretting the guards. We still have to do an annual cleaning. The worst though is that when it rains pretty hard they just can't keep up and it creates a gush of water at the valleys. We're starting to have some erosion issues, and if you don't like cleaning gutters, this could eventually be a lot worse. I supposed it depends on your roof, lot etc. though.

I purchased the Amerimax snap-in guard. $2.20 per 3' section. I did it in 3 increments totalling maybe $300.
They're vinyl and won't last a lifetime but inexpensive and a cinch to install.

I own a gutter business and we use a coated aluminum screen. Lead filter is a rip off and is junk. It’s a gimmick. Go to your local Home Depot and buy the black screens. Very easy to install. Slide under first shingle and clip other side on front of the gutter. Pine needles will slip in the holes and stick straight up. Just blow them off with a blower.
