Can't get Weber Genesis to burn above 250 degrees.

I've switched out the tanks. It's only two years old. Any suggestions?

If you're getting the same weak flame in all burners it's got to be a leak somewhere between the tank and the grill in the gas line or connections.
That's my guess. Replace those parts.

Safety switch. Make sure the lid is open when lighting the burners.

It's the regulator...that aluminum disc on the hose from the tank. I think I needed to disconnect the hose from the burner manifold and reconnect, but it's been a couple of years. There's a process you can find on Google/ YouTube.

yep, vote regulator as well. Very slowly turn the gas on at the bottle, then try

I have had luck lightly smacking it with a hammer.

Another vote for the hose regulator.

When that happened on my Weber, I contacted customer service and they sent me a new regulator.

As others have said, it’s the regulator, but might not need to be replaced. They have a safety feature built in. Google Weber regulator reset and try that before replacing.
If I don’t light mine in the right sequence it does this.

If you have the valves at the grill open and then open the bottle valve then the regulator will sometimes not like it and give low gas flow. Close the bottle valve, close the grill valves, open the bottle valve, and then open the grill valves.

Weber has fantastic customer service. Did you register it when you bought it? If you did and it’s only 2 years old they will take care of you. When I bought mine, the two doors in front didn’t line up. They replaced the whole thing no questions asked.
