Looking for a new dishwasher and just started research today.

High on the checklist is a "quiet" dishwasher, which lead me to the Bosch.

Reviews seem good overall.

Anyone with firsthand experience?

We have a Bosch dishwasher and a Bosch cooktop. Haven't had any problems with either and they both do what we want them to do

I can barely tell mine is on. Recommend.

Don't know what model ours is but it says it's 44db on the top when you open it up. It's ridiculously quiet.

Bosch, if it wasn’t for the little red light that shines on the floor you wouldn’t know it’s running

Kitchenaid makes a quite unit.
Have had one for 3-4 years now without any problems.

Our Thermador is made by Bosch and you can’t hear it at all, even when in the kitchen. Have to look for the light to tell it’s on.

Very quiet, filter trap loves to clog so you better be diligent pre-rinsers or clean that trap regularly. Otherwise you'll find out about the rather thin, weak door gaskets they use.

OP, if you get a Bosch, use the Jet Dry

Yep, like everyone else quiet.

Installed one for an elderly church lady and had to recheck it was on the first time. There was noise but not like washing-running. She called up crying when lightning took it out; luckily insurance installed the next one.

We just put a Kitchenaid in a few weeks ago. Standing right next to it you can't hear it. The quietest Bosch on the market is rated at 40dB. The Kitchenaid is 44dB. Plus the one we got has a super convenient 3rd rack and option to only clean the top 2 racks for light loads. It also has a fan drying system which not many have. Most just use heat to dry.

I don't want to say how old my KitchenAid is. I may jinx myself. Will go back with one.

Question for the Bosch folks. Do they do a good job of drying?

We run a 30 min express wash most of the time and I learned a trick from here the other day that if you crack the door right after it is finished it has been drying real good on just that short cycle.

Top tip.

We had a Hotpoint and was waiting for it to die.
It was an antique with large push buttons as opposed to a membrane pad.
Apparently it wasn't going to expire according to the salesman, who said they were built like a tank. Sounded like one too.
Our Kitchenaid has 2 shelves that can adjust a little bit to accommodate different shape dishware.

We have had two bosch dishwashers in this house.

They both broke within 3 yrs. Now this was several years ago. In between we had an LG that crapped out as well.

We now have a kitchenaide. So far (its 9mths I think) it's been really good and extraordinarily quiet.

Off all the ones we owned this one dries by far the best. Its the only one that has a drying heat element in the bottom. The others dried by heating the water really hot.

I have a Bosch in my condo and a KitchenAid in the house that was there when we bought it. The Bosch is quieter and has 3 racks, but it runs longer and doesn't dry as well as the KitchenAid. The KitchenAid is louder than the Bosch but not loud.
