All you can do is make sure the dog has access to water 24/7, unless you want to spray with a hose where ever it pees.
Some dogs are just more prone to burning the lawn. I had a lab that wouldn’t leave a mark but the grass instantly browns the second my boxer/rotty mix lifts his leg.

Yeah, get rid of the damn dog. Other than that, live with it since you seem to need a dog. Comes with the territory, just like picking up a 5 gallon bucket of dog shite a week.

Brown spots will go away soon.
In a few months to a year you will have green spots.

There are some pills you can give your dog - but I’ve never done it. If I’m
Fast enough I try to water it down

You can give them something to eat that prevents the brown spots.

I got one that is on prescription dog food and treats! She had blood in stool and cost me 500 vet bill ...he said she needs prescription food
Said ok but would give her a little little scrap of meat now and then
Another 500 dollar vet bill later and I said ok dog you get water and prescription food only now!!!
Not gonna risk the pee pill !
Btw they check at petco for the vet prescription and I really do have to show it or they will not let me buy her food!

Oh boy, I hope you don't have little kids who like to play in the yard and roll around in the grass.

I tried the pills but they didn’t work. I just gave up after that. Cost of having a dog. Now that he’s dead I don’t have to worry about it and my lawn looks great!

I too tried the pills. They don’t work.
I spray with a hose as much as I can.

Gypsum will get rid of the salts from the urine and make your grass green again.
It is cheap. You can apply it as often as needed.

Hose down the pee spots, train him to pee in a certain non grass area or get rid of the dog.
I had this problem and there is no magic bullet.

My brother fosters anywhere from 8 to 10 dogs at a time. Gypsum works great for his yard which is fescue and blue Grass. No guarantees for other grasses but it does work.
