Where do you feel soreness after deadlifts?

I have been working on my form with lighter weight so I don't cause myself any injuries. My soreness afterwards is mainly in my glutes and a little bit in my middle back. Is this typically where you all feel it?
I bought Mark Rippitoe's Starting Strength book and base my form off his pointers so hopefully this is beneficial for me. The chapters are long as shite but very informative.
EDIT: Due to me not lifting heavy I typically don't feel soreness till today because I upped the weight to 135 (plates) yesterday since I was comfortable with my form.

There are a few different deadlift variations, but I stick to regular (back, some glutes) and stiff legged (hamstrings mostly)
Mike O’hearn has a pretty good video with Mark Bell on technique

Hamstrings, glutes and lower back. Heavy typical doesn’t hurt me as much as volume at lower weight.

Soreness like DOMS, or like lower back strain?
Be careful if you are feeling strain/injury related soreness. You should have the "good" pain, such as I just had a great workout, but no other pain.

Not serious pain. Just a good workout soreness.
Last year I started deadlifts by just watching youtube videos for form and my form was atrocious now that I look back.
Like I said in OP I have done extensive research on form from Rippitoe's book and just started back with deadlift 2 months ago. I just wanted to check with what areas you guys may feel sore after a deadlift. Getting form down for deadlift is kind of difficult at first it seems.

If you are doing form right and basically starting out (135 deadlift) you may not necessarily feel an exercise working out the area that it would on someone who has been doing it for some time.
Like you may have muscle imbalances to get worked out first. You may feel it more in your glutes than a seasoned lifter for the first month or two because you have super weak glutes that need to catch up with the rest of your posterior chain. Or if your form was bad before and now you are doing it right you could have imbalances while correcting form. I'm sure someone else like lsu777 can elaborate more on this if it is needed

After my heavy deadlift days, I usually feel it in the middle part of my lower back for a good 24 hours. It goes away just in time for me to do my lighter deadlift day.

I feel it in my midback spinal erectors. If your form is fine, soreness afterwards is generally where you're lagging in strength.
Also, muscle soreness vs joint pain is a big deal. Muscle soreness is good, joint pain is bad.

It is possible. I am actually doing Grey skull method based off of 777's post currently and just used the Starting Strength book to get my form down for deadlift, squat, press, and bench since it is very detailed and explains the posterior chain really well imo.

Hamstrings always get me, but it always sneaks up on me. I will feel fine all day and then I start warming up for the next workout and I notice I am sore.

My general rule my guy... If you feel a compound lift in your glutes you are probably good homie.

Doing higher rep sumo work at around 50% of 1rm. My arse and hamstrings will be sore for days.
For conventional. Lower back will get tight before the glutes.
I dont get sore from low rep work no matter how heavy.

Hamstrings, lower back. On heavy days I'll feel it in my upper back some because of lat and scap activation

This.
Glute activation is important and often overlooked. Thats a big chunk of muscle back there.... don't neglect it

Glutes are probably the biggest, most powerful muscle you've got. If they fire powerfully, you're going to be a strong dude.
