what song that you listen to in the gym gives you the biggest spark of energy?

I think "Fake It" by Seether does it for me, usually the first song I play every workout

I'm on a Hustle Standard kick right now.

"Beast" and "Never Gonna Stop" get me pretty amped.

There are too many songs and genres I like. DMX, Tupac, Metallica, Machine Head, etc.

If I had to go with a single track that reliably motivates me, it might be an Etic Thomas speech over Friday Night Lights from an LSU pump up video:

You probably said that as a joke but Africa covered by Angel Choir (Los Angeles) is an awesome watch.

Shinedown's Sound of madness always starts my gym playlist, but it skips around a good bit between alt rock and rap after that. I can't workout to music that isn't aggressive unless I'm doing straight cardio.

Back in Black - AC/DC

I become faster at everything when this song is playing for some reason.

Nearly all the songs on Rammstein's Made in Germany albums.

Type o Negative's Greatest Hits also work.

Some of Metallica's instrumental songs like Orion.

Orgasmatron from either Motorhead or Sepultura. And both Motorhead and Sepultura have other good workout songs.

Hanger 18 by Megadeth...

These are the top ones that come to mind.

My only real connection with LSU is this board, so I'm sure I don't have the same point of reference for some other vids.

I do think the Friday Night Lights theme is (personally) one of the most emotionally affecting themes, and that speech is awesome. Most of the people on this board are nice enough, so I guess I can sort of root for LSU as an out of conference team, right?

Amen. I told my friend anyone who doesn't like Rage Against the Machine doesn't lift weights.

People of the Sun, How I Could Just Kill a Man, Fistful of Steel...I don't know who can't get hyped to lift (or cardio) during Guerrila Radio when Zach whispers "It has to start somewhere, it has to start sometime, what better time than now" then screams "all hell can't stop us now!" If you can't get pumped from that, what are you doing?
