Voluntarily Bowel Cleanse?

A weird and not always pleasant subject I know, but one I've thought about. I'm thinking about doing a Voluntary Bowel Cleanse during the stay at home. Completely my own decision, not preparation for any procedure like a colonoscopy.
I believe I suffer from IBS even though I've never been diagnosed with it. I will occasional suffer from constipation. I also suffer from hemorrhoids and therefore even at 36 have already had a colonoscopy. To be completely honest I felt better after cleaning out my system and I think a good cleanse maybe once or twice a year is a good thing.
How should I do it though? Should I just take a few laxatives to clean everything out or do a little more? For any doctors on here, especially gastroenterologists, how should I proceed with a good bowel cleansing?

Bottle of magnesium citrate should do the trick, but not too fun.
Something milder would be senna tea (super dieters tea) or milk of magnesium.
Be sure to drink a lot of water because how these lax work is the salts in them bring water to the colon, hence the flush.

In healthy people bowel cleanses are generally more harmful than helpful, since you'll be flushing out healthy bacteria. Given issues like IBS, I have no idea if it's a good idea or not. If you feel better, then it's probably helping I guess.

Voluntarily Bowel Cleanse
Beats an involuntary bowel cleanse all day.

Eat a couple of handfuls of raw walnuts and that will do the job.

May have something to do with your gut microbiome as a result from your current diet. Try going on a carb restrictive diet coupled with lots of fermented foods like kimchi, kombucha, yogurt etc. Another approach I’ve heard to clean your system out is a prolonged water only fast (4-5 days). Apparently afterwards your next vowel movement really removes anything that’s been clogging your intestines or sitting trapped inside your digestive track that could be related to your issue. This is all my non expert recommended advice of course.

Go to whole foods and get the probiotic that needs to be refrigerated. It worked great for me.

Man if you ever feel like you ate something that sort of doesn't agree with you and want it to be over with in a timely manner, this will cure the issue on your terms.

I know Keto is a touchy subject on this board but....
I suffered with IBS and acid reflux my entire life. 2 weeks into keto, I was symptom free. I’m off keto now, and only have flare ups when I go way off the rails with carbs. I eat clean for a week, and it’s gone again. I never did a cleanse, but strongly considered it. I’m 36 also.

When I stopped eating bread, I stopped having IBS symptoms.
When I do treat myself to bread...guaranteed nasty episode.

On the back it reads..... if two cups don’t work see your doctor.

My IBS went away with diet changes. I didn’t actually change what I ate, but I started intermittent fasting. All the bloating and cramping went away in a week. It’ll come back if I eat like crap for several days though.

Water, Epson salt, and a squirt of lemon juice. Do this early in the day and DO NOT LEAVE THE HOUSE. Within the next 30-45 minutes you’ll be shitting like a goose

We had about a quarter of a bottle of prune juice sitting in the fridge this morning. Our baby used to drink it, but we switched to pureed prunes now that she is eating real food. It was in the way this morning while I was putting away groceries, so I chugged it to get rid of the bottle. I'm now sitting on the toilet typing this post while having a semi-voluntary bowel cleanse.

Exact same thing for me except the IBS. Low carbs, and the reflux goes away. Eat a pizza, double up on the antiacids.
