Every day I go to the gym I see a dude who has lost over 100 lbs and is still obese. He is in the fricking gym and pushing it, not giving up. Every time I see him I give him a fist bump and say “get some!”

I don’t care if you crossfit, lift heavy, bulk, cut, volume train, wear straps, wraps and sleeves. You mayy be fat, skinny, ripped, shredded, beefy or flabby. If you are in the gym and lifiting shite, you are in the game. Overtarining is overrated. Get the frick in the gym and train like a fricking beast and own your day!

I did a paltry 20 minutes on the elliptical just for the sake of staying in the habit of going frequently. Full body lifts yesterday so no weights today.

Ha! I was just feeling sorry for myself and didn’t want to go to the gym. I thought about the dude I see in there every day and thought about how encouraging him helped encourage me. I pumped up some music and just wrote that and then hit the Gym. Trained hard and motivated others. Just saying hello to someone who looks uncomfortable in the gym goes a long way with them and inspires them to keep pushing and coming back. I am big, intense dude, but I find motivation in being kind to those who have gym anxiety. Lifes to short for gym assholes. We are all going to make it...

I know I pimp Brian Alsruhe's videos on here, but here's one I watch for motivation when needed:

LINK

When he shows the adaptive strongmen going in and busting it despite prosthetic legs, half an arm, etc, I make me realize I have no real excuses. I only have excuses I make up, but I have more than a lot of other people and no reason not to get in there and use it.

That's awesome. That's what I mean, if a gym has triple/quadruple amputees who go get it, what excuses do I have?

I have a ton of respect for people who work with wounded vets too. It's great to see people recognize sacrifice and not forget when vets go back to everyday life.

In the spirit of this thread, I'm shaking a cold, felt gassed after work and decided to man up. Tied a rep pr on bench and got work in.
