Hulk if you’re still doing CF in a year, you’re gonna regret not doing it.

In a year you’re going to be moving a lot better, throwing around a good amount of weight. You’re gonna want to look back for reference. Don’t wait

That's a pretty intense workout. I like it.

Ah okay.

I'll talk to coaches about it today. The scaled WODs from last year look tough but doable. Are you allowed to scale any movements further? Like last year's 17.2, there were chin-over-bar pull-ups.. I can't do strict or kipping pull-ups yet, so I'd have to do jumping.

We did this a couple years ago as a class work out (20 minute AMRAP). Ben Bergeron's "Open Test". I got 1 RMU as time expired. I will have to retest it next week and see how I do. It was rough midway through the CTB.

I use a 45 pound plate to stand on and give a little calf jump assist. I hate using the rubber bands like the gals do.

Rubber bands are more effective imo. Negatives even more so. I don’t like the jumping pull-up scale because you do more jumping then pulling

True, but that bothers me not. It's usually paired with abmat situps, and I'm so damn slow at those I need to make up the time

Yeah, I saw a video and while I understand why they do it, it almost renders the exercise useless. I agree with you on the bands and negatives.

That workout is a beast. Looks like a lot of fun.

I can do 6/7 or so real pullups. I cannot kip, and can't do the numbers asked of us in the WODs.

not at all imo.

W controlled jumping pull up is a exercise. A band pull-up is a skill in utilizing the band.

Folks that use bands stay in bands forever. The folks the use ring rows, negatives and jumping pull ups always progress

May do this in the morning. Not a clue what the point of this is, but looks like fun.

I’ll do fine until ttb. I may get thru burpees. But that will be it. Imma bigger guy. Freaking bix jumps, ttb, ctb and burpees for movements will be a mental challenge to keep chipping

Jumping pull-ups for reps are worthless if you don’t control the descent, & that is what they turned into last open. People basically jumping above the bar and that’s it

If you control the descent it turns into a negative. At least that’s what I call it, and that was the best way for me to increase my strength on that movement.

Banded pull ups are good done strict. You have to do them to fatigue. Kipling banded pull-ups are worthless

Just finished.

I got 245 reps (5 cleans)

Those goddamn burpees killed me.
