Yeah, that is an oddly unstructured WOD, but if you know the recommended weight then they should also know how many reps they expect people to get, and you can scale appropriately.
Personally I much rather heavy lifting than the million rep workouts, so I'd go with heavier too.

Someone is confused-might be me. There was no time limit at all. You just go until you either can't anymore or just don't want to. There was no 4 minute anything. 4 sets. 2 minute rest.
was this a strength portion of your class or was it supposed to be a WOD?
would choose the heavier weight if you want to get stronger.

I can't seem to settle on an ideal schedule. During daylight savings, I was going M/W/F and doing something different on T/T. During standard time, I've been trying to go as many weekdays as possible. M/T/W of this week had me so sore that there was no way I was doing Thursday. Hell, I am somewhat doubtful about today.

Heavy squat clean and jerks today. My cleans are getting better. Right elbow got a little agitated at the end when the weight got heavy and I caught the weight a little forward. Before that, though, pain free. If I can fix the form I should be able to move on from the pain

You at GCF? What did you finish with today?

did we PR or what
Yeah, but I didn't realize it. As I get the technique down the lifts are getting easier. I probably had a little more in the tank but wanted to make sure I kept form up.

We have hang cleans in our AMRAP today. I really need that work. I am one of those who can jerk anything I can clean. I have a clean problem.
Pretty pumped about getting 285 x 4 on squats yesterday. Would love to one day beat my HS max as a 50something. I just don't know if 400 is realistic.

I finished at 205.
Missed 215. Caught it, but my right elbow was low and I bailed.
My technique still sucks but I’m working on it. Goal is 275 by the end of 2018.
I’ve pushed pressed 265 for a 1RM so all I need to do is stand it up and I’ll get it OH.

It was a 5 heavy singles after warmups about every 1-2 min, building every attempt.

I wound up on the insta story
I just need a lot of work with all of the lifts. I'm very inexperienced with oly lifts. I found the weight on the jerk portion was fine for me. I didn't really feel like I was about to drop the weight, and I didn't have to drop my hips very much to catch it. However, I need more practice in the position to get my balance down. My last 2 reps were much more stable than my first 3, actually.

I saw it. I was in Chandler’s video in ththe background on my 205 squat clean and push press.
When the weights get heavier, I start leaning on my overall strength and not technique.

Yesterday was Death by ground to overhead. 95/75#. I choose CnJ to work on cycling. Made it through 12 rounds and some change. Toasty.

Trying to get to Oly today. I hate that it's at 5, I work in Gonzales so it's hard to make it.

I never know when I should attempt prescribed weights. The whole deal seems so odd considering the differences in size and strength of the people who participate. Me doing the same as someone as strong as tigerfoot just seems silly.

I always attempt RX if there is an internal debate with myself. I can always drop the weight if I feel it is too heavy once the WOD starts.
We did 100 yard walking lunges yesterday and the RX was 53# KBs. I almost dropped to 36#, but decided to try the RX and was able to do it without completely killing myself.

Today is headcutters and rowing. I may try what you said. I've seen others do it. I'll be dragging the rest of the class down though and they will probably have to start Thursday swole and flexy without me
