Nike Metcons or Reebok Nano’s will probably do the trick.

Chuck Taylors, probably. Other lifting shoes will have a hard out-sole that will make it hard for basketball or too much of a cushion to be ideal for deadlifts. Chucks are old school gym shoes and sneakers.

Wear basketball shoes and take them off to squat and deadlift.

Metcon Frees are not ideal for squats or deadlifts. If you’re able to do the things you want, great. I personally wouldn’t wear them.

I don’t lift heavy in them.

But for metcon style workouts they are fine.

Playing basketball in the wrong type of shoe is way riskier than squatting in a basketball shoe.

I’d just buy a basketball shoe and then squat or deadlift barefoot or in socks only.

Ironically, the original basketball shoe does make for a great weightlifting shoe. I just wouldn’t play basketball in chucks.

Or get two pairs of shoes. I have a pair of Romoleos for squatting/olympic lifting, Chuck Taylors for deadlifting and running shoes for other non-resistance training exercises.

You said not ideal. Well, no shoe is ideal for those two. The frees are as good as anything for that combo. Best lifting shoe I have ever used.
