That’s why I said buy multiple pairs of shoes. I rotate 3 pairs of shoes depending on what I’m doing that day.

Not everyone is that hardcore or lift that heavy

Metcon Frees are a fantastic, versatile shoe for people that want to do a variety of workouts in 1 shoe

Squats and deads benefit from flat, hard soles. At the same time, basketball and moving exercises suffer from those flat, hard soles.

That's why I think going barefoot is the easiest option for squats and deads.

Right. We are all aware.

Metcons are not THE ideal shoe for either.

But they work just fine.

Trust me. I do both in them all the time.

I could do that, but choose not too. Why? The frees are that good, especially for squats. I prefer to be lower to the ground for anything lifting from the floor. It's not enough to matter.

I'm not trying to hate on Metcons. I've never used them.

I just tend to think kicking your shoes off is an easy solution for squats and deads unless you're doing circuit training.
