Running Shoes: need advice on what to buy

I need some running shoes for road running.... Currently I have Saucony Ride ISO 2 which I enjoy but it is time to replace....
I normally run 70-90 miles a miles since the pandemic started
Need something in the $80-120 range
What are my options? What do you use?

I switched from Asics to Altra several years ago. You can find most models in that price range, especially if you look for the previous years models. I have put at least 800 miles on all of my previous Altras, and I ran in one pair for 1200 miles. I actually still have a few old pairs that I wouldn't mind taking out of retirement if needed. The two big things about Altra shoes are that they are zero drop and have a wider toe box that is shaped differently than other running shoes. You should try them out first at a running store if possible. If not, order from Amazon, so you can return them if needed. Oh...one more thing...most people find that they need at least one full size larger in Altra than other brands. I actually wear 1.5 larger in them.

Unless I can get fitted online that isn't an option.... Plus that doesn't relate to me as I just want a good pair of shoes and not looking to pay out the arse for something that may last 3 months

So I'm a 10.5W in Nike, New Balance, and Saucony so I would need a 12?

I wear 9.5 in most shoes, 10 in Nike, and 11 in Altra. If you had a narrow foot like mine, I'd say 11.5, but 12 might be a better bet if you wear wide in Nike. It took me two tries to get the size right.
The nice thing about ordering them from Amazon is that you get them fast and can return them. I was able to order my first pair, get them, try them on, box them back up and drop them at UPS, order a size larger, and get the next pair all within a 5 day period.

I use the Reebok Floatride Energy. They usually have good deals online, and they're not too pricey to begin with.

There’s a massive thread on this subject.
People who run in Altria’s love them, but be aware that they’re zero drop shoes. There are benefits to running in zero drop, but not 100% sure that should be your only shoe.
Nike just released the Pegasus 37. $120, comes in wide, appears to be durable, gets good reviews. The Pegasus is Nike’s workhorse trainer shoe made for the masses. Saucony, New Balance, and Hoka have nice lineups right now as well.
To make this easier, go browse runningwarehouse or whatever website you plan to buy from and post the ones you’re interested in. Good chance someone here has ran them and can tell you yay or nay.
My current rotation is:
- Nike Zoom Fly FK for racing
- Nike Zoom Fly SP and Brooks Hyperion Tempo for tempo days
- Reebok Floatride Energy 1.0 for daily miles
I’m beginning to sour on my Reebok’s. They were great initially but can’t get the fit on my right foot down and keep getting some numbness as well. Nike Epic React 2 is my favorite daily miles shoe and I may pull my old pair out of retirement.

On second thought, try the 11.5 first. Altra's have become more consistent with sizing in the past couple of years. You might find that you need a half size bigger, but I think 11.5 is a better bet than 12.

I don't laugh much on running related threads but the Shoe Carnival did it for me ...
For some reason I pictured HogBody asking a part time shoe salesperson if they recommend velcro or Airmax shoes for a sub 3
