Recommendations for sandbag brand and types

I’d like to purchase some sandbags to start incorporating those into my routine. When I go to Rogue’s website, just the amount of options is pretty overwhelming. Can anyone recommend a specific brand or features I should be looking for? Would like to purchase a few different sizes for different exercises. Thanks.

Strongman type or regular? What are you looking to do with it?

Still researching what exercises I want to incorporate and am open to suggestions. But right now, I’m thinking deadlifts, farmers walks, squats, overhead presses.

I have a friend who has a brand. Heavy duty sandbags up to some serious weight.

Cerberus Strength has good sandbags, and has many promotional days involving discounts.

I have one with handles and also one of the strongman style sandbags. I used the strongman one about 10X more than the handled one. Mainly use the strongman style for holds, carries, squats, and over the shoulders. If the sandbag was my only home gym tool though, then I would go with handles due to versatility. Since I have dumbbells and barbells for things like deadlifts and presses I use the strongman bag for a unique stimulus. Sandbags are awesome though - they humble me every time.

IME, anything over 100 lbs is just too awkward, even if you're strong enough. At that point it's less about the reps and more just getting it in position to do anything.
Sandbag training is great, but it's no substitute for pushing iron.

Onnit’s Battle Bag is great
I also have a Rep Fitness larger one

Ultimate Sandbag.
We have them in my gym. Lots of handles. Easy to change the weight. Very durable

The Project Kratus bags I posted links to are selling out fast. My friend said he will be out stock real soon and it'll be 3 weeks until they are back.

There's awkward and then there's tumbling over backward with the thing as you try to shoulder it.

Was able to get a Rep Fitness medium bag in red and large back in camo early on in the pandemic. Have been satisfied as they get job done and are well made.

I have the rogue strongman bag in 100 and 150. Mostly use the 100lb for presses, Up and overs, and a sandbag style floor to overhead. I will use the 150 some for dead lifts, row, and bench sometime. But its not great for those due to a lessened ROM due to the size of it. Just a way to mix it up. I also do Zercher carries with them.
Id like to add a 75lb duffle style with handles eventually. I think it could be used more frequently.
