I am assuming the numbers are starting weight/Current Weight/Goal weight? Is that correct?

I'm curious as to what this was exactly as well.

Hello, my name is Doug_H and I'm a fatty. Is that how this starts? lol. Noob to this thread so sorry for any stupid questions that have probably been covered earlier.

38yrs, 5'10" and 262lbs. Not all soft fat as I have played sports all my life and still workout occasionally but not as much as I obviously need to. Only other physical activity currently is golf. Work is about 85-90% in office.

Just started back working out over the weekend, my goal is to get to 230lbs. Wife and I are both going to take measurements as well since in the past we have felt much better and clothes were loose but scale didn't always reflect it. I've got decent muscle for as little as I have been working out. The worst part of my body is my midsection and chin(s).

Meal plan for this week:
-Adrenal cocktail in the morning about 5am consisting of 4oz organic OJ, 4oz coconut water, 1tsp cream of tartar, pinch of salt
-Breakfast at about 7am is a "crack an egg". Depending on exactly which one I have the calories are 320-200, fat 21g-8g, protein 13g-9g, carbs 6g-2g
-Lunch about 11am is 8oz 96/4 ground beef with about 8oz baked sweet potato (plain, no sugar or butter) and a slice of cheese mixed in
-3pm snack (if needed) is a pack of Lance Peanut Butter & Honey cracker sandwiches with 190cal, 9g Fat, 23g carb, 4g protein
-Supper is grilled chicken taco (no sour cream)

I work 10-12hrs a day and have a kid in extra curriculars so gym isn't always easy and that's where I usually give up, but for now I'm trying to get in at least 30 minutes of body weight and dumbbell training at home

Family has lengthy history on both sides of heart attacks so I get checked regularly. BP is fine, but I am on meds for cholesterol and triglycerides.

268.8/205.2/195

Finally lost enough weight to get back into running a couple times a week and have been doing slow controlled low weight High rep dumbbell exercises for a few months now.

I’ve never been into weight lifting. I was always a runner/bike/cardio junkie before I blew up to an obese whale. I’m becoming obsessed with the weight training.

Same today. Scale lately between 148-152.

Some big eating/drinking coming up this weekend with 3 day trip so just trying to stay consistent then can ramp up when I get back and no more trips planned.

Doug, way to get to it. Here are some of the surefire ways I have found to get you going on your weight loss.

Track your food. Everything you eat. (Get on one of the available calculators and see how many calories you need to eat to lose a couple of pounds a week.)
Eat 1 gram of protein of your desired lean body mass weight.
Lift heavy weights two or three times a week.
Get 10,000 steps in a day. (Set I timer at your office and get up ever so often and walk around. Take a walk after supper)
To expedite success throw in some cardio as well.

These are the things that have gotten me towards my goal.

this

but if you cant lift heavy weights due to working out at home then lets atleast get some DBs or a set of rings.

get the major patterns in, for now use these progressions. easiest thing to do is do 3 days a week. do 2 sets per movement pattern, take them to failure.

horz push- pushups
horz pull- DB row or ring row
Squat- Goblet or BW squat
vert push- sitting db press
Vert pull- Chin ups or band pull downs
Single leg- walking lunges or walking reverse lunges
Carry- grab dbs(doesnt matter how light) and go for a walk either farmers walk or overhead.

Still at 238. Frustrated a bit, but really getting dragged down by chest pain due to Lisinopril. Doctor recommended a stress test to rule out actual heart issues, but it's hard to hit the gym when you're worried about those kinds of things. I'm walking 2 to 3 miles in 90 degree weather so I'm thinking I'm going to pass.

Is chest pain a common side effect of Lisinopril? Pretty sure it’s usually dry mouth and dry cough if anything. It’s pretty mild and one of the most prescribed drugs in existence

Not a common one, but it does happen.

It's in the Fitbit app on Android. I assume the same on iOS. Not a ton of customization with it, but it displays what I want to see for the most part.

Wondering what are people doing calorie wise when it comes to maintaining their goal weight.

Along with burning 400-600 calories a day working out. How many calories are people consuming per day when they are happy at their current weight?

everyone is different

but

for me...if i stay between 2200-2400 i usually maintain at a step level of less than 10k and 3 workouts per week.

Thanks for that, that's some good tips I can use for sure.

About 10 days in (262/256/230), guess I had more water weight to lose than I thought, after a good week with dieting and mostly home workouts and a round of golf, but a great weekend of making it to the gym and putting in good time there and sweating my butt off doing yard work

Also good advice, thanks. I need to rig up a station for bands to do pull downs and horizontal pulls

Back in the gym, 239 but shirts are looking and feeling better. Need to cut down on portions, but it feels good when XL shirts actually look slightly baggy again.

230/227/200
Im dead stuck between XL and L. It depends on the brand, but at 220, XL is def too big in most brands. This is going to get expensive soon.
