Was shocked to hit the scale and weigh in at 215 about a month ago (I'm 6'1" and 49 years old) I was dirty fasting and hitting bad energy drinks and breaking fast early with a bag of honey-roasted peanuts. Checked packaging and was blown away to see they were like 460 calories. Holy shite.

Cut back to black tea/coffee/Gatorade Fast Twitch for my afternoon caffeine and sticking to the fast until 5pm or so. Trying to break the fast on carrots/apples and other "healthier" options. Also cutting portions at mealtimes a bit and trying to do more protein/greens options.

Adjusted workout to strength training MWF with a spin class (I know... I know.. but I mountain bike and my wife also enjoys doing them with me) on Tuesday/Thursday. I had been doing more group fitness HIIT classes with the wife on MWF, which I think were becoming ineffective due to lack of interest/effort on my part. I've been really enjoying building up some muscle mass lifting heavy with Deads/Squats.Incline/Pullups/Overhead Press while simultaneously losing weight and starting to feel that pay off, as that's the routine I did back in my early 40s.

Anyway, the scale has been solidly trending down over the last couple of weeks, and I think I've turned the corner. Weighed in at 207 this morning and looking much leaner but with more muscle as well. Not sure what my goals are... I haven't been below 200 in probably 3 years, so that would be cool. I'd love to get down to 190, but that's probably going to require a level of discipline with food/drink that I'm not interested in maintaining.

Work up this morning at 3:30am sick to my stomach. Puked multiple times until stomach totally empty. Since I had weighed myself the morning before, I decided to weigh myself after puking just out of curiosity.

I was down to 203, which was 4 pounds down from day before at same time. Crazy.

Anyway, I know that I didn't actually lose that weight, but its kind of crazy to me how much weight we might carry around in our stomach contents at any given time.

Undisciplined week. We have a vacation coming up so I know that I need to be diligent so I can enjoy my vacay, but still ate out too often and didn't track well one day.

Moving much slower and not meeting goals but more importantly not falling completely off wagon. Too many life changes, new job with bad commute, moving in a few weeks to make commute better, sick family member

Just need to not screw up majorly for another 3-4 weeks and I can escalate again

I’m back on a cut. Eating right around 2100 calories. I’m going to cut as much as I can for 10 weeks, then get back to a maintenance. We’ll see how it goes.

I competed strongman as a middleweight foe a couple of years, but this year’s comp didn’t go well. The plan is to do a cut, then try to build back up. Basically reverse diet.

Haven't been lifting seriously in a few years. My focus is cardio on the bike. I put 4-8 hours a week in on the bike to train and participate in the occasional weekend race. It gets the job done. We'll be moving in the near future to a smaller town and I'm considering joining the local gym there to lift 2-3 mornings a week and change it up.

if you want consistent long term progress, progessive resistance training needs to be apart of the routine, atleast 2x per week.

Same. Have also set PRs for many lifts over the past few weeks, so I'm not losing much (if any) muscle mass.
