Started tracking food intake through MFP (which is a PITA since they put the scan feature behind a paywall) in order to start the cut for March. Trying to run a deficit of about 1k calories a day.

you're going to kill your metabolism doing this. what is your current TDEE? why are you doing such a drastic cut?

About 2800 calories

The deficit of 1k calories per day is including active calories from lifting/walks if that makes sense.

Side note: I really have to clean up my diet on the weekends, it should be easy without college football but this past weekend I did enjoy quite a few Modelos and Dos Equis'.

I've upped my calories during deadcember to 2600, will cut back again later on when not doing such an intense lifting schedule. Hopefully don't get too fat at that.

I assume pool season ppsa is more geared to a cut?

Ok this is where I sit after the past 6weeeks of about 2650cal/190P on average..
I put on about 6.5 pounds... I'm hopeful a chunk of that was muscle.

I am now cutting back to 2000cal/180p as my weekly goal for Jan.

I'm around 187 end of day to start this year, Goal the same as before, lean enough for abs, and build strength.

Best to all this year , we get out what we put in.

That’s pretty dang good lofty…I encourage an inbody test if you can.

So started diet today. Weighed 210. waist at 39.5" @ naval

Calories will be 2200 for next 4 weeks min

Pro-40%-215g
Fat-40%- 100g
Carbs-20%- 100g

Lots of beef(93/7), free range eggs, avocados, fish and krill oil

For carbs it’s all fruit & promegranate juice(100% juice)

Goal is to get below 10% on inbody. Figure I need to whittle away slowly until I am below 180. Hoping to get below 200 by lent (Feb 22) and then slowly lose 1 lbs per week from there.

Plan on running the program party program (strongville and superset) until lent and then will take a break from the barbell for 12 weeks. Was gonna do lent challenge I posted but people didn’t seem to like it so will suggest db strength or defrancos rebuilt 2.0 for lent and beyond before returning to ppsa

So far my plan to quit drinking and drop calories to 1720 (1.5lbs/week loss in MFP as lightly active) is going uh shittily. Lost 1.3 lbs day 1, then gained 1.2 back overnight. Logically, it’s just water balance messing around from not being dehydrated (started drinking a lot more water instead of beers) but man it sucks to feel deprived and see the scales showing zero progress.

Keto was easier because at the start you’d just whoosh off 3-4 lbs a day first few days.

for breakfast this week its 4oz of 93/7 ground beef and 4 eggs & a piece of fruit

for lunch its 12oz ground beef, avocado & piece of fruit

then afternoon snack is protein shake and piece of fruit

will cook chicken when i get home for dinner.

Decided switched lunch and dinner so i could cook fresh chicken every night

I am keeping it simple. I will have some cucumber with my dinner that i didnt log, but just cucumber with salt and peper and maybe a little vinigear.

not doing whole30 but similar but i am having entergy drinks(zero calorie), taking vitamins, and using some seasonings that potentially have some whole30 banned items.

this is the break down

I’m not gng dead sober but am going to cut out my nightly cocktail.

I’m putting the scale away for a while. I’ll only weigh in on mondays, so I can check in here. I’ve been hovering around 228-230 but my stomach and waist have shrunk. I’m adding exercise, so this is to be expected.

Also, breaking the 230 barrier is huge for me. This is the smallest I’ve been since college.

258/228/200 (originally the goal was 225)
