I’ve updated my goal.

Still 185 but I’ll accept 190 with a good tan.

I’m assuming since my diet was pretty clean already that it’s going to be slow progress all the way instead of a quick win at the start.

Lost about 10lbs via stomach bug and Covid last few days. Not ideal.

Hey guys. I could really use some pointers. I am 37 years old and I have a very busy work schedule. I work 12 hour shifts mostly sitting behind a desk and that makes it difficult to go jogging or go to the gym. I have been getting better with that over the past few weeks. I really try to watch what I eat, but I work in a hospital and there is always a going away party or birthday party of some sort.

I did WW earlier in the year and stuck right to it, but didn't lose any weight. Now I've been trying low calorie. I've been eating 2 boiled eggs in the morning, sipping on a frozen Premier Protein mid morning. eating grilled chicken salad for lunch (the dressing might be a problem), and at night usually eating a couple of cans of albacore tuna and steamed vegetables. Sometimes I snack on apples too. I would typically drink one coke zero every day but I've been weaning myself off of those and now drinking water with the mixed in with 0 calorie drink enhancers from walmart for energy. I almost never drink alcohol unless I'm on a date or hanging out with friends.

I'm 6'0" tall. I saw my PCP earlier in the year because of my fatigue. I was worried about my testosterone being low, but my test came back normal. My weight is about 205 lbs. I like when I am about 180 lbs, but I wouldn't mind being heavier than that if it is muscle.

Help me come up with a plan.

Way to go!!!!!!

My crazy self couldn’t stay off the scale
257/224.8/225!!!!!

I’m officially moving my goal to 200!!! When I was huge (292) 8 years ago, 225 was always a number I wanted to reach. I’m finally here and I’m not stopping!!

I think I’m going to ride down to Lake Charles and get an in body scan at 5star nutrition

Apparently my body REALLY likes being 192.5-193.4 lbs. Never STARTED a diet in a plateau before; that’s a new one!

thats awesome coach. I know it hasnt always been easy and you have been an OG in this thread. So awesome to see you reach your goal weight. i know 5 star has the inbody and i think its free. Maximum kinetics has the really really nice one, but they charge $50 to do it. Thats where i go cause i liek to support my friend Jeff who is the owner and a great guy.

This morning check in

243/205.4/175

Yes, 5 Star it is free. I wouldn't mind paying $50 for a scan if I could get one in Lafayette. I have family in LC, so I'm there enough to pop in and get one.

I did macros after my third baby. I’m 35, F, very fit/strong and tend to build muscle easily. 2022 had some stressful personal life challenges and I never understood people who lost weight because of stress, but then it happened to me.

My healthy weight (size 0) at 5’4 is 135-140. Beyond that I really look too thin and when size 0’s are loose, I don’t like that. I probably got down to 130 during 2022. I’m back to 140. I want to get to 135 but while hitting macros and getting my calories only from food. No more alcohol. I’m in this interesting place where I want to continue pushing my body in the gym as I always have, but see what good nutrition without alcohol will allow me to achieve. I go for the physical and mental benefits first, vanity benefits are secondary.

The coach I originally worked with had me at 120 P, 45 F, 175 C. I always found the protein and fat felt too low. I can hit that protein by 2 pm bc my snacks tend to be ham, cottage cheese, Built bar, etc.

Do y’all think that protein and/or fat allowance is too low for someone who exercises pretty intensely (strength/resistance 3-4x weekly, run 6-8 miles 2x weekly, HIIT boot camp 1x weekly, off Sunday) 6 days a week? There have been days I feel like I’m starving but am trying to save protein and calories for the last meal.

Get it girl!! You certainly work out way more than me. I wish I had your drive.

I live a totally different macro lifestyle, (low carb) so I am very curious. What do you, and others, eat for carb? Surely not heavily processed? Also, why so high on the carb? Again, legit curious, not shading anybody at all.

Honestly, I had to log my alcohol as carbs so in days I drank, I would probably have 75 or more logged as carbs. That means 2.5 glasses of wine or so.

But non drinking days? I don’t always hit the carb number.

Built protein bar per day, 17-18 carbs. Maybe a wrap that I use with my ham/turkey at some point. Broccoli, rice at dinner, I generally eat light popcorn at night for a snack if I’m wanting crunchy. Greek yogurt. Sometimes I dip crackers in cottage cheese.
There have been some nights I leave 25-30 on the table.

ETA: maybe I should up protein and lower carbs. Or alternate those days bc some days I get closer and others I am far off from carbs.
