I'm eating eggs again toady, and keto dinner tonight. Tomorrow, back to normal eating. I can say that it's been interesting. I can't force myself to eat enough to have enough energy to run or workout hard. I may try this again in a month.

Pushing through the Keto flu is the toughest part for me as well.

hiding the scale

I need to do this. Hasn’t moved in a week and I feel like I’ve done well with diet & exercise. Let’s keep pushing folks.

Are you lifting weights or just doing cardio?

Minimal lifting, primarily cardio. I guess it’s possible I’ve put on a pound or 2 of muscle. Gonna keep on keeping on and stay off the scale for a week or so.

My honest opinion is that if you're not losing weight on a diet and cardio routine, you probably need to cut more calories. If you were lifting heavy, it could be ok for the weight to be static for a few weeks because of muscle gain.

What's your diet plan? Counting calories?

Down 14 pounds since Thanksgiving but stagnant for the past week and a half or so. Doing low carb and cut out diet sodas and such. Not counting calories, probably should though.

I definitely would to establish the habit and to see what your true daily average intake is.

Down five pounds since Wednesday. Guess that’s the initial water weight shedding.

Ultimate test tonight, haven’t had a drink in about 3 weeks and we are meeting friends at a microbrewery that will have some food trucks. Going to be cold as witches titty in a brass bra so it’s going to take some willpower to avoid a heavy stout.

Side note: Down 2 lbs from last weigh-in

Down 4 lbs in a month to 218.4
Skeletal muscle mass up 2 lbs to 104.4
Body fat mass down 5.5 lbs to 40.1
Body fat % down 2.3% to 18.3%

All according to InBody scan.

Solid progress and I know I’m doing it the right way with these numbers, but man it seems slow

Ended up staying home which worked out great since it turns out that there were only Asian food trucks at the event with not many keto friendly food items available.

Zero drinks during this Super Bowl although I wanted to reach for something after that horseshite defensive holding call.

Solid week last week. Got about 20 miles of walking in and clean eating staying under my calories each day. Lost about. 8/10s of a pound. Down to 176.0. 4 more lbs to go. About 10 days till I get cleared by the surgeon to start lifting again.

My wife wanted to weigh in this morning to see what the egg fast from last week accomplished. We both noticed changes in appearance.

258/247/220 I pushed through the plateau!!!! I gained back another belt loop and another inch off my stomach.

I couldn't work out last week. I felt terrible on Monday. Tuesday, one of my students pulled on my neck while we were playing. (I teach special ed.) that had me out for a few days. Today, I am back doing my pushups. Ill have a nice run this afternoon. Tomorrow, fasted walk at 530. I'm hitting it hard the next 2 weeks! then, hammer down for Lent. Im debating on having a little king cake at Mardi Gras.
At current, the thought is no. Ketosis is rolling. My breath is awful In theory, I could hit my goal weight by this summer. That would be awesome.

Started mine today. Currently in the garage getting my workout in. Ate 6 eggs so far, will eat a dozen more after.

Can tell I ate like shite last two days, been having heart burn on and off since last night. Sucks!!!

But I feel way better overall. Only a little hacking every once in a while. Hope it stays like that.

Today is day 2 of the egg fast. Yesterday was good. ended up eating 14 total eggs and 2 small pieces of uncured ham deli meat.

I'm putting my current cycle. 7 Years ago, I weighed in at 290 for surgery. I was a big ol boy.
