holding strong on the egg fast. honestly isnt bad but i have to really start eating more. these eggs feel you up big time

i did finally have a bowel movement last night, first time in like 2 days. actually woke up with bad stomach pain and bad gas pains, after i went, stopped immediately.

been gettin 12-15 eggs in a day, a tbsp of butter or two depending and tad bit of meat some of the days.

i am goign to finish the 5 days and then do carnivore this weekend and then back to egg fast next week for 5 days.

i need to get up to 2 dozen a day.

ftr for those worrying about the egg farts....i have expierenced zero. I normally get them when following SAD and eating eggs....but not this time.

i am eating free range eggs too for what its worth.

hoping to get down to 192 by next friday.

i weighed in at 197.2 this morning. So essentially lost all the weight i put on last week and this weekend from eating terrible.

Do you have a best source to learn about this egg fast?

its just eating eggs for a couple days to get into ketosis. not really a lot to read about.

but its what many of the old timers did. 2-3 dozen a day with butter and heavy cream.

im just doing as many as i can for 5 days at a time. a dozen is ~840 cals.

sorry i dont have more info. there is nothign special about it, just quick easy way to get into ketosis and to stay in a caloric deficit.

Minimal lifting, primarily cardio. I guess it’s possible I’ve put on a pound or 2 of muscle. Gonna keep on keeping on and stay off the scale for a week or so

I personally do not believe in ever putting the scale away for a day or longer. I'm of the weigh every day mindset, even if I'm not trying to make an adjustment. I didn't read back and see if you are logging calories, and if yes, how exact? If I ever stall where I am and I feel like I should be down more, I first ask myself how do my feet and hands feel (what's my fluid balance situation), then I would look at hidden calories - like paying attention to how much oil you are using when cooking (even grilling, air frying, etc), and take inventory of how accurate your estimation of food amounts are (measuring is best), then eyeballing macros, which you may well be doing already.

I'm also gonna say, you cannot discount the importance of muscle mass. I am not a believer in cardio only for anyone that is healthy enough or doesn't have a physical limitation that prevents them from undertaking resistance training. Body weight exercises are excellent if you either can't make it to the gym because of time constraints, or its not feasible for some other reason. I think you need to develop/maintain muscle mass as a means of energy (glucose) disposal, even when operating at a calorie deficit. Skeletal muscle is a huge burner of consumed energy.

190 / 173 / 150

Good call on hiding the scale Coach, down another 3 pounds when I weighed in this morning. Stick to your plan folks, that king cake isn’t worth it.

Same. I weigh every day, then watch the weekly average. If I'm on a diet, I want to see at least a pound per week come off the average while maintaining or gaining strength.

A few pages back I posted a link. Look up wholesome yum egg fast.

Im egg fasting today. I must have messed up somewhere this week. I've been eating intuitive, but I clearly had too many carbs. My weight is holding steady at 247.

you might have and if you did....its not grounded in science.

in the end only calories and protein matter, everything else is just a matter of compliance based off individual preferences or health concerns.

I did have a lbs of brisket at lunch. prolly eat like 3 eggs at dinner and thats it.

Gotcha - finding myself binging again over the last 2-3 weeks recently.

Thinking it's time to remove carbs for a bit. Workouts have been phenomenal though.

Hit the 175 mark today down from 194 on Dec 26. Have had a great week diet wise staying under calories each day and so far have gotten 18 miles walking in since Monday plus 3 nights of coaching baseball practices. Will get a 4.5 mile walk in later today when it warms and another tomorrow. Feeling great. Should get green light from the surgeon to ease back into lifting on Tuesday. 3 more lbs to go to reach my goal.

You are my hero!! 20lbs in 6/7 weeks!!! Awesome job!

Im just checking in for the day. My egg day yesterday had the desired affect. The bloating and joint pain is gone. We still haven't figured out what got us (wife and I). Also, I noticed that I had some serious carb cravings the last 3 days. Crazy how that happens.

Everything else is progressing like normal.

I am enjoying this PPSA grasshopper so much more than I thought.

I’ve always been a walk in the gym, “hmmm what should we do today”

Loving the structure. Making sure I get every damn rep. Ready to get to week 5 so it can ramp up to 4 lifts.

I didn't even look. There were pizzas and king cakes here at work, and I had carbs this week or more than normal for me. Once I break the diet, the cravings came back quick!

I wanted a damn ice cold beer and a poboy from Uncle T's.

204.6/189.6/184.6

Down 15 from 1/1 and it’s been pretty easy. Been weighing everything I eat and not going out to eat often at all. I have eaten multiple pizzas and burritos throughout.

Next week will be a challenge as I’m going to a birthday and will be traveling for a couple days

Keeping it steady with keto and lifting 6 days per week. Will have to gauge the progress during my next InBody scan, don’t care so much about the weight as I do dropping the bodyfat %
