well i wasnt the best this weekend, but not the worst either. i did have plenty of carbs and had a great pump last night cause of it.

back on track this week.

trying to wrap up this week and then go even stricter of doing just he lion diet part of carnivore which is beef and lamb only and giving up all non calorie drinks like white monsters and coke zero.

essentially plan on doing whole 30 but beef and lamb only until mardi gras.

at mardi gras I will start the max definition diet by gironda and it will look similar to the following:

on workout days i will have 1 scoop of protein post workout. on off days i will add some kerrygold dubliner cheese, just a a small amount to the salad.

i will be taking the following supplements like he reccommends too

also no caffeine from feb 1st to easter. after that i will start adding back in fruit and possibly small amounts of other carbs in the form of white rice or potatoes (sweet and small purple)

I was very bad yesterday I had 9 beers and a cheeseburger. I'm fasting this morning to get the bloat out.

I'm redoing week 2 of my pushup program I was failing on the 4th-5th sets. However, my form is getting WAY better and I was pumping out reps on sets 1-3. Progress is progress.

I just need to clean up my weekends.

Ribeye and salmon for dinner every night this week. Albertsons has a sale.

Covid knocked me downa few pegs last week. Hit the gym this morning, no real strength loss but my session took 15 mins longer due to being winded. Finished up with a 30 min walk.
213 on the scale this morn; that’s down 8lbs

I had an Inbody scan done Saturday. My BF% shot up 0.7% and I lost a total of 7lbs, 5 of which was SMM. I was less than impressed with my results, obviously. So I decided to just drink beer all weekend, and eat pizza.

Last night I cooked some high protein/low carb meals for my week in an attempt to reset.

:rotflmao:

be careful thinking 1 reading that is much different than the others is correct.

just track waist around the naval and track lifts. if you are getting stronger or even maintaining and bodyweight and naval measurement is going down....you are losing bodyfat not muscle.

I'm taking a bit of a break from counting calories. Still conscious of it, but not logging everything. Maintaining weight and gaining strength, so I'm not worried. I think I'll run a good deficit for 4-6 weeks before the weather warms up.

That was probably a good idea. Think of it like turning a computer off and back on again. You reset your system.

I'm taking my own advice from another thread and am hiding the scale for 2-3 weeks. The numbers aren't moving, but people are asking me if I'm losing weight. I got some string to measure my belly and will use that for 2-3 weeks.

I can tell I am stronger. I'm getting definition in my arms and my boobs looks smaller . My shirts are fitting better. My runs are getting easier to get started and sustain.

Not gonna lie fellas, I’m in a bad place. I was absolutely convinced once 2022 rolled around I would hit the ground running but it just hasn’t happened.

Came down with covid last week (mild case thankfully) but it was enough to get me off track/lay up and eat like an a-hole. Haven’t gotten back on track since.
I lost 80+ lbs over the course of 2014 and by the end of 2015 I was in the best shape of my life. Had a terrible relationship with food. Would restrict myself all week and have a cheat “meal” on Saturday nights where I’d eat until I was absolutely miserable. That obviously wasn’t sustainable, and even when I was in the best shape of my life, I was still unhappy with how I looked at the time

Looking back I would give anything to look/feel as I did then. Thought I had something this year by getting back into running (running is now I lost most of the weight originally) but after a couple weeks my knees are bothering me - definitely because I’m trying to put in too many miles too quickly at the weight I’m at. It’s like running with an 80lb vest every day on my knees

Since that time in 2016 I’ve gained and lost but haven’t came close to where I was then. I’m getting married at the end of this year and thought that would be the ultimate motivator and no way I wouldn’t be able to stay disciplined for that.. that hasn’t proven to be true

I have an unrelenting addiction to food/sugar/processed carbs. Binge eating constantly. You would think having blood pressure issues at 28 and seeing my dad (who isn’t even obese) having heart issues at 50 would be enough of a wake up call but it’s apparently just not.

I don’t know if I should go on some super strict diet of whole, clean foods only. If I should focus on moderation/controlling the urge to absolutely pig out and not “cut” things completely out of my diet, as that could only lead to the same issue eventually. I’ve just got to do something. I’m not just a chubby teenager anymore. I’m literally taking years off my life if I continue on the path I’m on. With issues arising a lot sooner than I realize if I don’t get ahold of myself. The end result isn’t pretty if I don’t somehow create a better relationship with food

Anyway. Not really looking for any specific advice or anything. Just felt like I needed to vent somewhere. Feels good. Now hopefully I’ll do something about it. I am in control, just have to prove it to myself

Have you ever seen a therapist? Not trying to be ugly at all, but maybe you should consider it.

If not, I’ll give the same advice as usual. Start counting calories. Don’t change anything, but honestly count to see where you’re at for two weeks. If you’re gaining weight, try to find the calories that would be easiest to live without and cut them until you start tapering off or losing.

Your issues are probably mostly mental/emotional. I agree seeing a therapist would be a good idea. The eating and binging is being done for reason. Find out why you are so addicted and maybe things will change.

What I've learned for myself is that for life change to happen, it has to start at the identity level.

Easy to say I'm gonna eat better or lose 40 lbs. That is a short term goal and not sustainable for most.

Ask yourself what kind of person do I want to be. I've decided something simple. I am a healthy person. A healthy person will make healthy choices 99% of the time. The goals I set now flow from my desired identity of being a healthy person.

Yes! That’s the attitude.

Try a therapist, talking to friends, your fiancée, anybody. Someone else is dealing with the same thing. Also, we are here.

Next, don’t base success on your body 6 years ago. Base it on each inch and LB now. Set goals and achieve them.

I have. Not one that’s trained for this specific issue though

She even had me on Vyvanse at one point and it just made me too jittery

Stay after it. Find one that works for you. We only have so many years on this Earth so we need to make the most of them.

If I’m going to get serious about this it has to start today. I refuse to give myself the usual “I’ll start Monday” easy way out only to gorge myself over the next 4 days.

I obviously don’t have a lunch prepped. I have access to your typical fast food places, couple small cafes, and grocery store. Trying to decide what I’m going to get that will be fairly quick/easy
