I couldn't make it past this. You are the one that brought this up man
i did?
i directly quoted you dude

You obviously can't control your emotions and are seeing too much red to think coherently.
i promise im not emotional at all
why would i be emotional about a medicine that i have nothing to do with, dont take, will prolly never take, etc? i personally couldnt care any less if people take it or dont take it.

Good luck to all taking diabetes medicine because they dont have the discipline to lose weight, I genuinely hope they succeed....But they won't
the long term( year +) studies show they will.... but im sure you know best.
quote:
You said "many are not capable of doing it own their own." Incredibly defeatist and incorrect. It's quite simple, not easy, but simple.
nobody said it was complicated and i said not many are capable....when talking about morb obese and starting out. Have you ever worked with someone that is morbidly obese and the pitfalls that come with that?

I'll bow out now to not derail this thread any further, and again good luck to all, but you're going to have the receipts of this thread when these same people are overweight a year after they stop taking this diabetes pharmaceutical to lose weight.
go ahead, screen shot the hell out of it. after a year, most will still be on it. hell alot of them will be on it for years
and ftr the medicine has lots of anti-aging properties too and is being researched for that also.
and keeping a lower fasting glucose level longterm through a once a week shot is suddenly now a bad thing?
and if you couldnt make it past what you quoted...then why didnt you quote the first couple points?

I had a few beers yesterday with a buddy of mine who came in from out of town. I weighed in at 220.4 and my intestinal track got moving which it does when I have beer. Maybe that's the secret. Just have a few beer once or twice a week and keep everything else super clean.
Im hoping for 219 tomorrow.
Also, Im going to my first ever Chiropractor appt today.

Waiting until Friday to inject in case of side effects.
If I could start over, I would inject Wednesday or Thursday night. It takes about 12-24 hours to get going. The first 12 hours can be a little weird, so do it at night. Also, you’ll feel it wear off as the week comes to and end. It’s really rocking days 2-4. Inject on Wednesday night to be prepared for the weekend.

Looks like I’m starting tonight then.
Side note, I have made lifestyle changes. I don’t eat or drink anything close to what got me type 2 diabetes in the first place. I’ve been on Metformin since 2019 and have done my research. If something gives me the opportunity at a better life, and steady glucose levels, I’m all for it.
Thanks for the responses

If you’re into podcasts, 2 keto dudes are a podcast focused on keto for type 2 diabetes management/ reversal. Their original episodes are good. Their Covid era podcasts are terrible.

Thanks, I’m basically doing that now. While not balls out keto, I’ve reduced my carb intake a ton as well as sugar

Hate when that happens.
Today's IF was successful. 6pm yesterday through 3pm today. I have a salt supplement and I drank a sugar free gatorade and I avoided feeling like shite, just got pretty hungry. Could power through to full 24hr I think. Had a busy day at work, which helped a ton. Kept my mind off of food.

Boom! I cracked 220!! I can’t believe it. There’s no way you could’ve told me back in November I would weigh this by the end of January. I may celebrate with a cheeseburger and a beer.

Gonna be clean this weekend so that I can try to push under 190 by next weekend. 190 is a big barrier for me.

Nice work coach. Solutions and hard work win. Not excuses and drugs.

(Will adjust gw once I hit it.. incremental)
Scale moved finally. I only tracked for two days tbh. Really just sick of it. Been tracking on and off for 10 years, and feels unsustainable. Rather just skip breakfast when I'm not hungry and do a fast here and there. Who knows what'll stick
Ozempic started again this morning

For me not drinking is key. Thursday I had 2 white claws and a miller lite, then got the munchies ate half a bag of cheetos and chips and hummus. That was a good 1500 calorie binge.
Good news is I was rigid the first 3 weeks of the year my body is just burning through shite so I can have a cheat day here and there and be ok.
