How do you guys stay disciplined while eating out? There is always an occaision in which I will have to go eat out. For instance, this week is my fiancé’s birthday. We are going out to eat twice. Once with my parents and once with her bosses. How can I go eat out, stay discipline and still enjoy it. I’m not a rabbit, so I don’t just want to eat salad. Do I just restrict my calories for lunch even more? I know that the obvious question is to just track cals, but not every restaurant has the calorie count on the menu.

I usually do well whej I’m left to my own devices. Mon-Fri, I eat with discipline. When the weekend comes around, I’m around friends and family, someone brings that delicious stout and we eat.

So what I do is if I know I will be going to around friends or out to eat where I will be tempted is save fats and carbs throughout the week to ensure I am good on a weekly basis.

So essentially, I will under eat on everything but protein throughout the week. Or like this week,I fasted for 48 hours, but normally I will just fast, eat something smaller to fuel my workout, then a larger meal after and that is it.

The problem is that I’ve already restricted my calories more than before. I’m eating between 1600 and 1800 calories. How much more can I reduce before I can’t fuel my workout and get through an 8-9 hour workday of manual labor?

You can't, but at that level you have some wiggle room. Also might be time to do a reverse diet

What 777 said. If you know it's coming up, plan for it. If you can't plan for it, do what you have to do.

Honestly it's a new thing for me. Historically, I've had a bad time not splurging when eating out. But it's just about goals and what you want..

So I started 291 which is an all time high for me

Currently 278 and I've been doing a modified version of keto that involves me drinking 1 day a week and walking 3 miles a day

Anyone doing keto...

What about green pill supps such as Texas Superfood? I have some and it’s a good way to make sure you’re getting vitamins and minerals from plant-based foods (I also eat a lot of green veggies), but I can’t find the nutritional stats on them. I’m almost positive they won’t kick me out of ketosis, but I want to make absolutely sure.

TIA.

Hey fam. Back on the keto train. I’ve been maintaining my weight within a 5-10 lb range, but my body is changing for the worse. Time for more fat reduction.

If I had to guess without looking into it, these Texas Superfoods are probably not that great, not that bioavailable, and a waste of money. I come from the thought that if you’re eating real foods, you shouldn’t need to supplement anything. If you do, consult with your doctor after 6-12 months of eating clean to ensure that the deficiency is actually there.

This week I am strict back on avatar, I fasted yesterday though, well from Tuesday at 930pm until 530 today. If I have lost by my check in I will click keep macros.

I've been combining the ECA stack and Reduce XT along with scrict dieting for about 2 weeks now. Down about 3 lbs. Try to lose about 3 more in the next two weeks then up the calories.

1400 cals a day has been pretty brutal. I definitely feel more lathargic through the day, but I've only got to suck it up for 2 more weeks

Man I forget you are on the smaller side, yea 1400 sucks. I am averaging 1900 on the 5 lift days, fasting on the two non lift days. fricking sucks. I got 8 more weeks of this shite though.

Prolly gonna back down to 4 lifting days though, I have dead legs like a son of a bitch right now

Sounds like I'm eating more weekly calories than you. 1900x5=9500. 1400x7=9800.

I could go up, but I'm losing the weight pretty fast and so far have been able to keep strength at the same level.

Haha well I'm playing catch up from last week's vacation in Orange Beach. Had a little too much fun. I won't fast as much once I get back into the 180s.
