Lunch run started as a track workout but got kicked off the track as it is supposed to be closed. Turned my run into a threshold workout.
5 mi @ 7:42 pace
Got run off the track at the start of my 3rd 800. Ran the last 3 miles at threshold pace (~7:30).

They didn't throw you in prison?

Nah, I was NARC'd on by someone. A van pulled up to the track while I was running and sat there for a couple minutes then rolled out. Five minutes later the boys in blue showed up and politely asked me to leave.
The gate was open (under the stadium) so I entered. The main gates were locked, but people have been in and out all quarantine.
It has been closed to keep students from practicing on the field. I'll just save my track work outs for 5 am when nobody is awake.

Kballa,
There are some beautiful homes and running spots in Montgomery County haha..right by 99.
My wife says its a breeze to get to Kelsey Seybold's HQ when she needs to!
We all have been jumping the fence at the school track I use but the constables ignore us.

I am not a dedicated runner and don't really belong in this thread but I accomplished a new feat today that's been on my list for about 5 years and I want to tell everyone but most people won't understand.
I ran 5k. Previous to today the most I'd run without walking was about 1.8 miles.
Very slowly, but I did it. It felt great. Now I want to train to make it faster.
My previous best for running without walking was about 1.8 miles. I listened to David Goggins' book a while back and between that motivation and some breathing tips I found on YT I smashed my previous best.
Eta
For those of you who don't know, I'm 250lb now and have lost 110.

Hulkklogan,
Awesome and you 100% belong. That is something to share and be stoked about.
My first mile in September 2018 was 13:45 and I've been welcomed here with opened arms.

Congratulations on the weight loss. That in itself is a huge accomplishment and something to be proud of.
This thread has runners of all capabilities so you absolutely belong here. I started following this thread in January 2019 and have learned so much. If you stick around you’ll see that wealth of knowledge and information that is shared. Personally, I find it helps hold me accountable and motivates me on the days that are not so easy.
When I first started running a few years ago I was 55 lbs heavier and struggled to go 5 minutes without walking
Keep up the hard work.

Hell yeah man! Let’s go!
The key to getting started is just to keep running a few days per week (3-4). Make it happen! Push yourself, but enjoy it.

First off, congrats and that's awesome.
I was where you are a couple of years ago. 70+ lbs overweight, never ran, high BP. I started on the treadmill 5 minutes at a time, then made the jump to a 5k. I walked some of that race and finished close to 40 minutes. I wasn't discouraged and kept chugging along. Sometimes it's easy and sometimes it's the hardest thing to get those feet moving, but I kept doing it because I found the joy in running.
I've met some awesome running friends along the way and picked up both tips and encouragement from this thread. I wish you the best on your journey and hope that you've enjoyed the accomplishments you've achieved so far. Keep it up!

Alright, Hulk! Way to go! You’ve hit some big milestones.

Keeping myself accountable: ran the 4 miles this AM @ 10:13 that I was supposed to run yesterday but couldn’t because the kids are having a super fun time not sleeping lately.

My goodness my hips are sore today. Glad i did some stretching after the run yesterday. Went for a long walk this morning and stretched again.

43 with 25 mph winds for my run this morning
It sucked, but I'm glad I got it done.
