17-20 mph sustained winds tomorrow during my run.

Awesome.

Run one way with the wind the entire time. Then have someone pick you up when finished.

I didn’t know running was a thing above the Arctic Circle.

Ran around Destin , fl this morning and the wind was whipping here too. I love running in new places when I'm on vacation.

Frost warning tonight. We got 6 inches of snow in June one year.

About to hit halfway through my year's total mile distance goal this weekend. Was kind of surprising when I saw it. Hope y'all are ahead of schedule too.

Hit my halfway goal yesterday. I set a pretty cupcake goal for the year though.

Not quite halfway to my goal but I am ahead of pace. Hit 650 for the year with this mornings run.

I wanna thank all y’all for the training advice.
Nine miles at 8:36/mile pace today. It was an easy run, despite the strong NE winds. I could’ve gone faster, but I was honestly enjoying cruising. The speed work and slow long runs are helping me tremendously! My splits were as tight as I’ve ever had:

1 - 8:35
2 - 8:30
3 - 8:32
4 - 8:35
5 - 8:35
6 - 8:40
7 - 8:38
8 - 8:39
9 - 8:39

Time for brunch!

Here's what I encountered on my run today. No snow but the cold +strong NW wind across the lake caused some ice trees to form. It was 37° at the start of my run and maybe climbed two whole degrees by the time I finished.

Happy May everyone!

1.5m run today. 11:54 pace. Not feeling my best, but got out there anyway.

Nice, I really need to work on consistent splits. I negative split my weekly miles and my long runs are inconsistent.

Nice work hulk! Keep pushing

@burt & @jkj nice work! What were your goals?

@gsadle, man that’s already more than my highest year I think. Kudos

@tornado, crazy consistency. That’s some goals, right there

@hulk, keep up the battle, friend. Some days, running is the best thing in the world; other days ya gotta embrace the suck lol

I’ve never set yearly mileage goal before. I would be behind if I had though. I’m really just getting going.

That’s awesome. More consistent than I’ve ever been. Zone 2 is paying off.

3 mile run in my plate carrier so with 20lbs on

38:11 so 12:42 pace

That’s usually zone 2/3 for me pace but with that weight on I was in zone 4 and 5

I set a pretty easy 1000 mile goal. Sounded tough at the time because I'd just gotten into running around nov-dec of last year. Gonna keep aiming higher. Hoping to jump in a marathon or two next year or later in the year. I've never done one.

What are you averaging per week? 70-80?

90s. In a holding pattern right now but I’m about to reset, take a week, and drop my mileage to the sixties. Rebuild and sharpen for a fall marathon.
