First off, a little background:

I've met with a trainer at my gym a few times and they gave me some workouts to do at the gym (and hotel when I'm traveling) which have been helpful. I know this board has a strong opinion on trainers but mine was pretty beneficial. However, they no longer work for the gym and I was at a point where I have enough workouts to do things on my own so I didn't really want to get a new one. Unfortunately though, the trainer left before I was able to get a good workout for the particular situation I'm about to describe..

So to keep it simple, because of work, I will be out of town for about 2 months starting in March and therefore will not have access to my gym. I was hoping you guys could help me out with a workout plan that I can do while I'm away. What's unique about this situation is I won't always be staying in a hotel. I don't want to get into specifics, but basically, I won't have access to a gym hotel and the place where I'll be staying will have limited space for me to work out in. I won't really be able to go run either, plus I don't particularly enjoy just running. I prefer other ways to get my cardio in if possible.

My overall goal is to lose weight and also get some muscle definition. However with how busy I'll be during this time, I'll mainly just be trying to avoid getting fatter

Before my trainer left, they recommended getting a weighted vest to do workouts with while I'm out there. So, I got one but I never was able to get a concrete workout from the trainer.

So with all that said here's my request:
What's a good workout 30-45 min workout plan to do if all I have is a weighted vest, two 25lb kettle bells, and (Potentially) a jump rope. The jump rope is a maybe because the only place I'd be able to do it is outside and I believe the place is surrounded in gravel which wouldn't be ideal.

I figured I'd just do some lunges/squats (with both the vest and the kettle bells), sit ups, push ups and cycle through those for each workout but if someone has a better idea I'd love to hear it.

TIA

Why not get a snap fitness or anytime membership? You can go to any of their locations.

Also check this link for body weight exercises LINK

There's only a anytime fitness in the area and it's about 30 minutes away from where I'll be staying. So I'd have to get up, drive 30 minutes, work out, drive back to where I'm staying (30 more min), shower, and drive to work (20 min) and be able to be there by 7am. So, I'd basically have to get up at 4am to do all of this. It's just not feasible.

Also, thanks for the link. I'll check it out

Anytime you have a stairwell available, that's your workout - especially if you have a weighted vest.

Up stairwell, set of pushups, down stairwell, set of pushups. Repeat.

For your goals, this should fit as long as diet is OK.

just do calisthenics. Can you hang a set of rings from something or trx style trainer from a door?

if so, you can kill it with pushups, rows, handstands, dips, squats, lunges, shoulder pulls, pullups

wtf more you need? for conditioning do burpees.

I go to the gym at 4:00am Monday-Friday. So it definitely is feasible. It’s just easier to make excuses.

Do you also work 11 hours per day minimum (sometimes up to 15)? Sleep gets important when you're working those hours. Plus, adequate sleep is essential to living a healthy life. Also, it's not like I'm making an excuse to not work out. I'm still trying to get a decent workout in. I just think there's a more realistic way to get it done.

Thanks again for the advice everyone. It's helped a lot

This, with a weight vest, will break you off

Also, check out the Recon Long Card. You’ll have to google what some of the movements are but very very good workouts LINK

Nah

I was with 3rd Recon out in Oki. I was attached to 2nd MSOB (before they re adopted Raider) from 2008-2009.

Passed A&S but didn’t re-enlist for Q course. I had 2 years left on contract and needed 3. I probably should have extended and went to Q course-probably my biggest regret in life.

I have several friends that are active-duty Raiders that I still talk to.
