Sorry, I should’ve specified. I’m on the Northshore (Mandeville/Covington, LA).

I'm going to go to Gameday Men's Health in Lafayette. TRT clinic.

If only needing testosterone, it's like $200-$225/month. That's the part that sucks because they don't take insurance.

However, they stay on top of your health and make sure you're dialed in and healthy to make sure you get the best results. From what I understand, they start you on one injection/week minimum.

Finally got started on injections. Endo prescribed 100 mg a week, which I am breaking that down into 2 injections a week. Did first one last night. CVS gives me these single use 200mg vials, and it says to throw away after one use. HA, I'm not gonna throw away a half empty vial. Guess I will just stock up

I get mine at CVS. 200 MG/ML, 10 1 ML vials for $96. Labs every 90 days are $30 so comes out to around $50 a month.

My insurance won’t cover it but my doctor gave me a good RX code and it’s cheap enough for me not to worry about it.

What's my best path forward? New PCP, Endo, Urologist, or specialty/online clinic?

Find a specialty clinic in your area, I use one that is 15 minutes from me (North Houston) and get m injection w/B12 once a week.

Last blood test came back at 800ish for Total and 37 for Free but I also schedule whole blood donations every 8 weeks to keep the headaches away plus the amazon gift cards will come in handy for Xmas shopping.

I'm interested in hearing from anyone who has gotten off TRT. Does your body adapt to the point that when you are ready to get off TRT it's natural ability to make testosterone is even more limited?

Thinking about getting on it, but figure at some point I'll want to get off it.

Just started TRT about week and half ago. Started me at 140 mg/week (two shots of 70 mg a week). I struggle with bad anxiety/panic and definitley felt that ramp up right after the 2nd shot. Had to lower the weekly dose down to 100 mg (two shots of 50 mg).

I'm sticking with it as I hear its supposed to help anxiety/panic in the long term but its been a challenge so far. Anyone else have issues with this and if so, did it get better? How long does it typically take to start feeling "good"? A few weeks? months?

@ClubTiger, are you still on TRT? Have your axiety/panic symptoms improved?

Since I only got one downvote for asking about anyone that got off TRT, let me try another approach.

What is the longest y'all have been on TRT?

I don't think anyone gets on TRT expecting to get off at some point. It is typically something you stick with forever

This

I haven't started TRT yet (waiting to make appt when I get back from vacation next week) but everything I've read is IF you stop, you'll just crash back down to low T like you were before getting on it, maybe even a lower level depending on how long you've been on TRT.

TRT isnt really something you get off of. If you are just looking for gains, just run a cycle at a higher dose, but trt is a treatment for those that cant produce much testosterone naturally

if you do get off, you will need to run a full post cycle therapy consisting of 2 serms, HCG and possible HMG.

Just got results. Test level was 415, free test was 6.1.
Recommendation was Test 80/2x week, NAD+, some over the counter DHEA and BPC-157. I was looking for BPC anyway for a few lingering injuries so that’s good. I’ll give the NAD+ a go for a bit since fatigue is my main complaint.

Just got my labs back after about 3 months off of TRT.

525 total test and 85.3 free. Not as bad as I thought it'd be. I've been taking boron, DIM, and clomid.

Libido is low and I'm sleeping like shite. Havent really lost much as far as the gym goes.

Going to Gameday Mens Health in Lafayette next week. They said with my numbers from last wellness, I should easily qualify for hormone therapy.

Got my first injection today. Gonna go with injections every four days.

I was a little nervous about doing it myself but it was surprisingly easy.

Maybe ditch the clomid? The boron should keep the free test going while dim should keep your estrogen in check

37, workout/BJJ couple days a week & decent diet. 5’10 190

Got concerning test results below.

Total Test: 639 NG/ML
Free Test: 9.1 PG/ML

Having another kid or 2 so TRT is likely out of question for 24 months.

Is Boron, diet & exercise my only option? I read all 33 pgs and my free T is MUCH lower than anyone else’s despite “normal” total T. Note this is pg/ml not NG/ml. 9.1 is ridiculous

I believe they can give you something while on TRT so you can still fire live rounds and produce kids.

Edit: I think they can give you hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin).
