Honestly don't know if i've ever paid much attention to his posts before. Seeing as this thread is aimed at trying to help people, i'd rather call out the stupidity for what it is. I'll leave the trolling for some of the other boards.

They put chemicals in the slop to make you happy which is nice

That’s why fat people are generally happy until their joints start hurting all the time

el gaucho is el gaucho

Thankfully Sweetness probably knows about him. It is very odd seeing him on the fitness board though, I kinda wish he wouldn't do his shtick here but it is what it is.

Truth. There might be better strategies out there, maybe even some that are more effective, but this works for me. I like uncomplicated so I'll stick with it.

Congrats! That's a lot of commitment.

Absolutely worth the money. The AI function where you take a picture of the food and it figures the macros is amazing.

It's pretty damn close. I still keep an eye on it, but haven't seen it way off yet.

Good job. I’m down 20 plus pounds since the end of April. I’ve been on a lower dose of wegovy and lifting weights 4-5 days a week.

I posted several weeks back that I hit a plateau. A few on here gave me some much needed tough love. As a result I quit drinking my calories ( pop, sweet tea) and vigilantly watch what I put in my body. I’m back to losing weight again and started wearing shirts that were too small for the past couple of years.

This boggles the imagination.

Now, I'll be the first to admit that "It's complicated" - body chemistry is weird, some folks react differently, so you do have to try different things to find out what works for you, your body adjusts to steady state intake/output, so you have to find a groove and a curve on both of those that works as well, and all that jazz, but all the gimmicks, gadgets, protocols, etc, ALL OF THEM are just tools to get you to a point where you burn more calories than you take in so that you burn the excess fat stores in your body.

ALL...OF...THEM. That's the only way to reduce fat stores. You have to generate a deficit so that your body is forced to deplete the fat stores for energy. How it took you 38 years is probably more of an indictment of our abundance, our marketing system, our food supply and our lifestyle, more than you being *ahem* "not the sharpest tool in the shed", although that last thing cannot be fully discounted.

It really is as simple as consistent caloric deficit in my experience.

There will be periods of hunger, especially when you first get started. This is OK. You are not starving or malnourished.

A lot of people don’t want to sacrifice in this area of weight/fitness even if they are great workers in other areas. To each their own. I don’t judge, but a little bit of consistent effort and sacrifice in the form of a little deficit and a little exercise will go a long way.

…and liquid calories are a killer. Cut that shite out first thing.

Then after you make some progress, other fitness goals become easier/more attainable.

Yep. Losing weight is so easy, I don’t eat 100% clean. I just bulk up, add muscle, then shred the fat off later.

The people that complain about losing fat have never tried to add clean muscle

You guys got me on the MacroFactor train. Hoping to drop another 10lbs while still lifting and running. So far it's a cool looking app.

Can someone help me with MacroFactor?

I have it linked to my Garmin activities, but they aren't showing up in the app. I've triple checked and it's definitely data sharing through Health Connect.

Any ideas?
