You're full of shite. Not really sure how else to say it.

ETA: You didn't gain 8lbs of water either.

Not really sure what you want me to say either. It is what it is. Just came here to share my experience.

That diet was so miserable. And this is coming from someone who is damn near a straight carnivore. Like someone else said, you have to experiment to find what's best for you.

depending on how active you are and how demanding your workouts can be you can still a good amount of carbs while on Keto.

You have to find what is what is the limit that take your body out ketosis.

I’ve been doing keto for about a month and had good results. I wanted to just knock off a little more around my belly.

I think I am about to stop, I miss being able to have a donut or two on Sunday’s with my kids or yogurt at the racetrack.

Keto works but I just am tired of it after a month. I had good results just watching calorie intake and spreading macros around 45p, 30c, 25f

Good point. I felt the same way. It just gets blah after 3-4 weeks. Hard to sustain long-term.

I am a fan of paleo. It is more of a philosophy. Keto is a diet. I don't think humans should be eating bread and refined sugar.

I think it is good to lose weight quickly but staying on it long term as described would be very difficult for me anyway.

I lost 9lbs in two weeks on a modified Keto diet and feel great. I wasn't fat to begin with so now I am just more lean and smaller waistline.

Now that I have reached my target weight I will simply play with the diet to get the right about of carbs and fats to maintain current weight.

You've probably lost somewhere between 1 and 3 lbs of fat.

Don't care it has worked for me. I am at target weight, I feel great, I look better, so now I will start eating more conventional until I find that ratio where I stay where I am..

calorie deficit trumps all and is the key.
True, but all calories aren't the same. If I'm working at a caloric deficit, but I eat McDonald's every day I will lose weight, but not good weight. If I eat spinach everyday instead, I will burn even more fat and save muscle because spinach promotes fat burn

I did this for breakfast Saturday and Sunday. Eggs whipped with heavy cream, sauteed shallots, green onions and spinach, mozzarella cheese. Made quick guac on the side. One piece of turkey sausage and two of bacon.

I don't get why aps and counting are constantly used in the "losing fat" and "gaining muscle" worlds. I know the hits will come on this idea...Animals do not need to do this. In their natural environment, eating their natural food, animals do not get overweight. Why are humans the only species that needs to count these calories?

We should find the food that doesn't require us to "keep track" of what we eat - it should happen naturally, effortlessly, and it does. We've divorced our natural signals by decades of eating crap and decades of bad and idiotic ideas.

Because they don't have refrigerators and grocery stores full of any kind of food they may want, pretty simple. I'm not even really sure what you're trying to say.

Were you glycogen depleted and had you just finished exercising prior to eating? You can easily put on 8lbs with that meal, especially if you combine it with a good amount of water.

I think the formula is about 4g water accompany each 1g of glycogen. And I believe the typical person has around 10lbs when you combine glycogen with the attendant fluids.

I am saying, there isn't a need to count calories when you eat the right food.

So if I eat 3 lbs of steak and drink a bunch of heavy cream every day it's fine because they're "the right foods?"

Carnivore "zero-carb" is a hell of a diet - you should try it.
